It feels like it’s been forever since I incorporated a makeup look on my blog, but today that changes! I’m in absolute awe of Morphe, they just give me everything I want in makeup, they consist of pigment, brushes, and best of all great prices; like what more can you ask for. Recently I was able to get their old but new 35m Boss Mood palette for $10 during Ulta’s 25 day Christmas countdown, now normally I don’t really partake in this event, but I was in need of some much needed makeup retail therapy. The Boss Mood palette consist of 35 shades from neon green to the blackest of black. I love their collection of shades; the shimmer shades are pigmented AF, and relatively smooth in texture, they glide on the lid so easily and pick up real nice. The other matte shades are really gorgeous, they have a variety of shades neon, army, berry, reds; the only color the palette need was a pink to be damn near perfect.
Anyhow I did create this purple/cranberry look using just about all the purple tones and a few hints of reds. I hope you enjoyed this very minimal post, I’ll be back with more Makeup MOndays!!
Let’s see Beyonce + Adidas, this collaborative duo can only equal a perfect outcome! Beyonce has given the world a glimpse into the latest sports collection and has managed to add unequivocal chic-ness to the line. Beyonce has been giving subtle teasers on Instagram; like sporting Adidas bling on her ears & grill, showing off her Ivy braids, but we didn’t get the real tea, until Elle magazine featured the “Queen of subtle hints” for their January issue. The collection showcases a range of clothing including bodysuits, Jackets, T shirts, as well as featuring the new line of sneakers. I’m sold, here’s all my coin!
As featured, the collection consist of an array of clothing, sweat suits, accessories, and looks into Ivy Parks first take on footwear. The line is presented in the shades of maroon, orange, and white; hitting the mark of fall tones, as well as adding the signature Adidas 3 stripe; in addition to the already BOSS collection it also have additional looks included. The price ranges from $25-250, which is quite sufficient being the line consist of a variety of looks.
Already the collection has received its seal of approval from major stars like Kelly Rowland, Cardi B, Janelle Monae, Reese Witherspoon, Yara Shahidi, and many more. The collection is set to be released on January 18. So, other than me who else will be shopping the looks from the sports line?
“An accessory is merely a piece of iconography used to express individual identity.” This famous quote from the Devil wears Prada, has been instilled in my body, not just because I’ve seen this film numerous times, but because this quote speaks truth about fashion. So how can I relate this quote to my latest trend report? Well only by relating it to another equally iconic piece of fashion that being the fur jacket (faux of course). This film had so many major fashion moments, but Miranda Priestly tossing her fur coat on the desk of, poor Andy had to be my favorite.
Let’s be real! The feeling you get when you’re wearing a faux- fur jacket, is like no other feeling by comparison. Yeah, you have your denim, and leather jackets; but dawning this statement; textured jacket, adds a simplicity and coziness to any outfit. The hype over these faux fur jackets are not misplaced, being able to come in a variety of colors, textures, and patterns have made this staple piece fun to wear all while being super fashionable. Here are a few picks that I’ve chosen to get you on board of the Faux- Fur trend.
The year is coming to an end, and soon it will be bye-bye comfy sweaters and hello spring wardrobe, but I still have a few months before I hang up my coat and fur boots. I recently had the pleasure of trying a few pieces from Dresslily, whom I’ve worked with before. If you’re new to wholesale shopping; Dresslily is a wholesale site that sales the trendiest clothing of the season ranging from hats, to all sorts of accessories. Now let’s see what I got!!!!!
I brought 4 items, because fashion on Dresslily is inexpensive, but the dollas add up. First item I got was a Asymmetrical stripped shirt, when I first got the shirt, I thought it was badly stitched, and I paid for what I got, but after looking at the product over & over,I seen that it was supposed to look like that. The shirt is nice, the material isn’t bad, very soft and drapes great. The next few items were accessories, I brought a pair of wooden glasses that was only $10. In the cold season, a girl can never have too any beanies!! I brought this embellished beanie for $9, now I know it’s a little steep in pricing, but this hat was socute, and I even got creative, and added some pins to add a lil grunge-esque flavor to it. Lastly, I got 2 layered necklaces b/ silver. They both were about $4, if you grew up in the 90’s these necklaces are a must for your jewelry box.
That’s all for today, I know it was a little short, but there are more post to come! Be sure to like this post + let me know in the comments if you’ve shopped dresslily before, If so, what’s your favorite item you’ve purchased?
