It feels like it’s been forever since I incorporated a makeup look on my blog, but today that changes! I’m in absolute awe of Morphe, they just give me everything I want in makeup, they consist of pigment, brushes, and best of all great prices; like what more can you ask for. Recently I was able to get their old but new 35m Boss Mood palette for $10 during Ulta’s 25 day Christmas countdown, now normally I don’t really partake in this event, but I was in need of some much needed makeup retail therapy. The Boss Mood palette consist of 35 shades from neon green to the blackest of black. I love their collection of shades; the shimmer shades are pigmented AF, and relatively smooth in texture, they glide on the lid so easily and pick up real nice. The other matte shades are really gorgeous, they have a variety of shades neon, army, berry, reds; the only color the palette need was a pink to be damn near perfect.
Anyhow I did create this purple/cranberry look using just about all the purple tones and a few hints of reds. I hope you enjoyed this very minimal post, I’ll be back with more Makeup MOndays!!
I’m sure we can all agree that when it comes to skincare, we are willing to go above and beyond to get that perfect, glowing; Instagram-able skin. I recently got to try a skin moisturizer for Rico Beauty Essentials, and I have to admit I was super intrigued by the skin benefits it had to offer. No doubt I have tried plenty of moisturizers ranging from luxury to drugstore, and I can say while some did work for me, there were more that didn’t. Rico beauty essentials is not your typical overly hyped product, but the big question, does it work?
Rico beauty essentials can be found Amazon, which made me a little apprehensive to try, so I had to do some research before testing the product, but if it’s one thing I learned the best products are of Indie brands. Before we get into the review, here’s a little info on the product. The Rico beauty essentials retinol moisturizer, is designed to stimulate production of new skin cells, it helps fade dark marks caused by hyperpigmentation. This retinol moisturizer contains Hyaluronic acid, organic Aloe Vera, Green tea, Vitamin E, and Jojoba oil. As for the price, it’s under $20, so this is definitely a deal $$$.
After my routine facial cleansing, I use this moisturizer day and night for about a month, and I can say the effect of the green tea is a plus. While the moisturizer has a list of organic ingredients, the green tea and hyaluronic acid, is felt the most. I say these to particular ingredients, because through this entire process, my skin feels plumper, and the hyperpigmentation of my scars is fading. This cream is light texture and absorbs into the skin, rather than sit on the dermis. Immediately you feel the botanicals working within the skin cells, when applied to the skin, and no there is no greasiness when applying the cream. The cream comes in a 1.7 fl.oz container, so you get a good amount of product, a little goes a long way. My skin after a month of using this feels brighter, my scars have faded and also just an overall healthier feeling.
This moisturizer is completely worth the $$. The difference in my skin has completely benefited from this cream, and I see a total difference in texture. Is it worth the money? I would say $20 can seem like a lot to some people, I will say this, it does work, so If you were to buy It you’ll be getting your money’s worth.
Thanks for reading my review, tell me if you are a skincare junkie in the comments, would you be interested in using this moisturizer? Be sure to Like & Comment your fave skincare brand.

ATTENTION❗❗❗ I have never tried MORPHE products— Ikr, how could I miss one of the biggest brands by far. Morphe is a brand that has went from small Indie brand, to one of the biggest makeup brands in the beauty world. Whether they have good or bad circulation, they always seem to capture my attention with their products and constant guru collaborations. I recently went to ULTA, and went a lil′ spending crazy & while I brought numerous things, I was most excited to try the Jaclyn hill’s ″Armed & Gorgeous″ palette by Morphe.
The Jaclyn Hill Vault collection, contains 4 eyeshadow palettes, all in which contains 10 highly pigmented shadows, yeah! Oh, and did I also mention it’s only $15. Out of the 4 palette’s I purchased the Armed & Gorgeous palette, and this review & performance will determine if I want to go back and spend more coin on the other 3 palettes. I have seen countless videos of other makeup enthusiast testing out this palette and there have been good & bad flack, but trust my opinion is my own, no one else. Jaclyn hill has collaborated with Morphe before, so I wanted to see what the hype was about with these set of eye shadows.
I’m all for presentation, the palette came in this metallic lettering—with confetti detailing. I think that the packaging is really simple & sleek, I really like that the design is on both the outside and on the palette, it gives it correlation. LETS OPEN DIS BABY UP! The palette itself has 10 shadows, and also holds a mirror, that is very luxury, not like those cheap deflective mirrors, like we see in knock off palettes. I really love this “yellow themed” palette — It SCREAMS FALL, the shades vary in warm browns and yellows, and features some really DOPE reflective shimmers. Also, this is a small detail, but I love shades that have fun, little nicknames, it just brings the palette to life, you know?
The Armed & Gorgeous palette, is a warm tone palette, which has neutrals. I was very excited to swatch these babies, and see did SIS, pack on the pigment.
The color payout is satisfying, not all the shades are perfect, but the fact that there buildable shades makes up for that. After hearing that the palette formula was redone, I wish I was able to compare them, but I feel like it wouldn’t have made a difference, only because Morphe has it’s own specific formulas. I love the way the shades swatch, some were more pigmented than others — the range of shades are appreciated, I love that deep Olive green, even tho I’m not a big fan— Fall really brings out my yellows & oranges.
Here are the swatches♥
I can definitely say for any palette, shimmers are always pigmented ♥ The shimmers swatched like butter on the skin, and they don’t lose there pigment, also they are not chalky, which is really nice because I’ve had some TE-RRI-BLE experiences, but this palette I had no problem with fall-out or streakiness— Come on SIS, wit da pigment! This palette features 7 matte shades, all in which they range from yellow to green. I feel the matte shades were a bit harder to reach that color payout to match the color in the pan, but as I built on the shades it became more visible. The mustard yellows & burnt orange shades were no problem, they were matte, but soft to the touch, the shade were super pigmented and swatched gorgeously. I think the shade that made me put in more work, was the olive green shade ( Top Secret) but other than that minor tack, I dig the palette. I love how well the colors work together, they all compliment each other, they really give a sense of fall.
So I know I’m a whole century late on the Jaclyn Hill Vault’s, but how do you feel about them? Which is your favorite palette? Let me know if you’re a fan of MORPHE.

( sorry for the long time off, I literally have been college bound, to my fellow students, you know what I mean, but I’m baacckk!!!)
Welcome Fall weather, changing leaves, Gigantic sweaters, pumpkin spice (everythingg), & the arising new products that we will need to bear on our vanity. Over the years I have learned a ton about skincare like the fact you need this to help this, and this for that, and it kind of reminds me of a domino effect, sort of. For the past few months, I had the chance to get into a new skincare brand, that has me Fall- ing for their products ( see what I did there).
So recently I got the chance to work with Naturally Serious skincare, which is clinically tested to repair damaged skin, and renew healthy skin and strengthen moisture. This brand prevents pollution in the skin; also reverse aging. Naturally Seriously, has skin warrior ( moisturizer), Major moisture gentle cream cleanser/ mask, cold- pressed peel pads, and Anti- dark circle eye cream/ lip service bundle. Each product targets a skin problem, I was gifted the dark circle and lip service bundle.
Z E R O * B A G G A G E ( Anti Dark Circle eye cream)
When it comes to bags, and saggy dark circles, I never worried about it, but now that I’m in my 20’s and pull all night-er’s I can no longer skip this step. The anti dark eye cream, naturally detoxifies the skin of air pollutants, UV rays, and reverses aging. The moisturizing cream helps to fight against fine lines, puffiness, while adding moisture to the skin. I love this cream, I have been using it for a little over 2 months and though it resulted in a subtle change, it’s still visible. The extract of caffeine, olive oil, & beeswax, keeps my skin moisturized and gives me that awake look, even before I have my cup of coffee. I use this cream after my morning routines, every morning, this allows my skin to naturally absorb the product throughout the day, and gives time to settle in to work its m a g i c.
L I P * S E R V I C E ( 3 in 1 Lip serum)
I have tons of lip products; matte, gloss, exfoliater, you name it— but there is a point where my lips are screaming STOOOPPPPP!! The lip service 3 in 1, helps to hydrate, re-texturize, & exfoliate all in 1 tube. This lip cream is perfect for getting off hard; dry matte glosses, and softening your lips to it’s natural form. The ingredients include: Jojoba seed oil, Sunflower seed oil, apple extract, free of parabens & preservatives. This lip cream does wonders, I love this product, this is something that should be carried throughout the cold seasons.
