Hi Lovelies,

I’m back with another beauty haul, today I am going to be reviewing 2 palettes of the Balm cosmetics, Guys! I don’t know how much I rave about this brand, probably a lot, but I was excited to try theBalmJovi palette and the Smoke palette. So, lets get into this review, SHALL WE.

 lrm_export_20170211_2140251

I am a huge “palette girl” I love a great drugstore brand palette, I mean I’m all for luxury brands, but I don’t like being completely broke. The Balm, if I haven’t said it before, this brand has great quality products for great prices.

Okay now for the palette, the Balm Jovi palette is a full face palette that comes with 12 eye shadows , highlighter, blush, and 2 lip shades. I never used a full face palette, I buy products individually, but I feel that this palette has its advantages, I mean you’re paying for a palette that comes literally with everything, and you’re saving a ton of money. This palette retails for $20, which is a great price for the entire palette.

This palette is so amazing the eye shadows have 4 metallic shades, 4 matte, and 4 shimmer shades. All the eye shadow shades are super pigmented, they are very creamy and I love how the shades vary they have light shades, transition shades, and dark shades also they have a few warm tone colors which I live for.

lrm_export_20170212_1133191

I swatched all the shades and I did have to prime my arm, I never had to do that BTW, but the shadows shows up as they do in the palette. Each swatch is 2 layers so they show up better. Okay, so the shades itself are super pigmented, they all show up nicely, they are not at all chalky, they apply very smooth, and even swatch super creamy. I like that that the palette had 3 different shade finishes ( metallic, matte, and shimmer).

The consistency of this palette is very nice I think the shades are lovely so the swatches are above. (left to right)

The first 4 are all metallic shades_

  • Metallica  ( white Metallic)
  • Iron Maiden ( Golden)
  • Led Zepplin ( Olive Green Metallic)
  • Alice Cooper (Brown w/Mauve undertone Metallic)

I really love these pigmented metallic shades, they are rich in color, and apply so creamy, I also like that they are grouped as heavy metal rock bands, all of whom I’ve listened to a billion times, these shades apply really nice with/out primer, there is a ton of fall out, but what eyeshadow doesn’t.

The MID – 4 Matte

  • Adagio ( very light brown w/white undertone)
  • Allegro (Taupe Brown)
  • Moderato ( Deep matte Purple)
  • Presto (Deep Brown)

So these 4 are all matte shades based on classical music, which is really great. I love the shades, they are very wearable warm tone shades. I like the deep purple that is in the mix. I think the shades are really pretty, the only thing is that these are best with a primer, otherwise they show up super light, barely visible with exception of the deep purple. Overall the classical shades are really nice, and  nice range of shades for the palette.

The last 4 – Shimmer shades

  • Blink 182 ( Nude Brown w/ pink undertone )
  • The Stroke ( Navy Blue)
  • Rem ( Lilac Purple)
  • Third Eye Blinded ( A fair Pink shimmer)

The last 4 are all shimmer shades, these shades are grouped based off popular rock bands. These shades have to be my favorite, they are super pigmented, and out of all the shades these 4 didn’t have as much fall out as the rest. These shades look really pretty with/without primer. The shimmer shades do have a ton of glitter, but I really like the shimmer on my eyes.

Overall the eye shades look really nice, the application of these shades all have a nice creamy consistency, I have to say the metallic shades have to be my favorite, they show up better on my eyes and the color range is wearable day or night.

Next is the Smoke Balm palette, this palette is a great palette for any day, they only contain 3 shades a shimmer black, a warm neutral shade, and a highlight shade. I really like the shades in this palette, the shades are not crazy shades, they are warm tone colors, which I appreciate.

The shades are:

  • Blaze ( shimmer Black)
  • Spark ( Matte taupe brown)
  • Flame ( highlight)

I really like this palette, Blaze and spark are my favorite, they are super pigmented and have a very rich consistency. The shades start off light, so they are buildable, the highlight shade is a little to light for my skin tone, it almost look chalky, but swatch wise its very beautiful, it looks like Ice, its kind of comparable to the champagne pop glow palette.

“Life isn’t perfect, but my hair is” | Hask Hair Review

LRM_EXPORT_20161113_110541.jpg

Hi Lovelies,

Its great to be back blogging again, I have been very distracted lately, but I feel more focused and much better…Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days.”

Well I’m back with another review, and I am so excited to share it. I have been a Hask hair fan for a while now, I’ve tried a lot of their hair collections through pr and through me being a hair freak, but the new super fruit hair collection is the latest to hit the shelves.  When it comes to pr branding, I am very particular about what I try and am not afraid to give my opinion, so lets break down this review.

LRM_EXPORT_20161113_010234 (1).jpg

So when it comes to hair, it is very sensitive my hair in particular can not have a ton of salicylic acid and parabens. The super fruit collection is free of parabens and filled with vitamins and fatty- acids which are really great to promote healthy hair and natural growth. The collection came with a shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, and a cute hask hair brush.

LRM_EXPORT_20161113_112248 (1).jpg

lrm_export_20161113_112714

I’ve been using this entire collection for a little over 3 weeks and my hair is very healthy, the consistency of the shampoo/conditioner duo really is a light weight formula, it doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, so as far as the shampoo and condition, its a definite MUST!

lrm_export_20161113_113412

The next thing I want to talk about is the deep condition, now normally I’m not a fan of the deep condition, just because of the entire long process, but I found that it’s not really as bad. As far as, using the deep condition you only deep condition maybe twice a week. It is time consuming, but in between reading a  book, or watching your favorite movie (psk psk Lord of the Rings) it is very relaxing to my hair, and I think that its worth it at the end of the day.

Well that’s all for my review I hope you enjoyed it, be sure to “Like” if you like my product reviews, and “comment” if you have tried Hask Hair care products, if so what’s your favorite collection?

A Hairy Situation….

LRM_EXPORT_20161025_145109(1)[1].jpg

Hi Lovelies,

So, I have come to a hair problem in the past month, HEAT DAMAGE!! Every girls worst hair nightmare. With heat damage, its best to keep your hair filled with nourishing oils, and vitamins, which I have been doing to keep my hair from falling out. I have been through my spastic; dramatic moment, but I finally got the cure.

LRM_EXPORT_20161024_123630(1)[1].jpg

Novex is a brand that I contacted, after I seen a few reviews on their website. Let me give you some insight on this amazing hair company.

LRM_EXPORT_20161025_140045(1)[1].jpg

Novex is the most known Brazilian hair care brand worldwide, It’s found in over 40 countries, and translates in 6 different languages.

I got the chance to try 2 out of their 6 hair care treatments. One was the Bamboo Sprout collection, and the other was the Brazilian Keratin treatment. Both collections came with a shampoo, conditioner, deep condition, and the Brazilian keratin came with a bonus product, a leave in condition heat spray, which I’ll get to in a minute.

LRM_EXPORT_20161025_140526(1)[1].jpg

The novex Bamboo Sprout collection I tried for two weeks, and all ready I could tell the difference in my hair. The bamboo sprout is meant to strengthen and grow your hair, without stripping it of its natural oils. Personally, I really like all 3 products of the Bamboo sprout line, but I think that the Deep Condition, has to be my favorite. I have really thick; and curly hair. I really like the feeling of the deep conditioner, it leaves my hair with volume and moisture ( putting a cap on your hair, while leaving the condition in for 30 minutes, puts moisture in your hair, and allows all the vitamins and nutrients to set in your hair).

lrm_export_20161025_14015011

The Bamboo Sprout overall has to be a great product, and I do recommend it. Its not a harsh product at all.

LRM_EXPORT_20161025_141515(1)[1].jpg

The last products are the Brazilian keratin collection, included with the new Keratin Leave in conditioner, styling spray. I was over excited about the keratin products, keratin is a nutrient that is included in all hair types, it allows the hair to not only be more manageable, but it strengthens your hair. With my hair going through the process of heat damage, it needs to restore all of its keratin, and nutrients, that allowed my hair to grow.

The products all work wonderfully, I highly recommend it, especially the Brazilian keratin leave in conditioner. Leave in conditioner, acts as a mask, and moisturizer. I really like the benefits of conditioner, it restores the balance in your hair, and makes your hair stronger.

I have been using this product for a good month and a half, so I can’t really see a dramatic difference. What I can tell is that my hair is not shedding as much, and is not brittle. What my hair is transitioning into is the result of new growth, as well as, providing my nutrients and protein back into my hair.

I hope you enjoyed my pr, and post on novex. If you like my product reviews, be sure to “LIKE” this post, and “COMMENT” if you have any favorite hair products. (I will keep you updated on my hair journey, just go to my instagram page)

Hask Review | Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection + Charcoal Purifying Hair Care

2016-05-09-16-24-09

Hi Lovelies,

So I was asked to review 2 of hask product collection, one was the Kalahari Melon Color Treatment and the other was the Charcoal Purifying Collection ( which I read reviews on and was super excited to try). Both collections came with a shampoo, conditioner, deep Conditioner and as a bonus 2 Hask brushes.

2016-05-09-16-26-11

Lets start with the Kalahari Melon Color Treatment Shampoo/Conditioner. I absolutely loved the combination, the Shampoo came out very thick, so I only needed a little, which goes a long way. The Shampoo is ment to replenish color, without damaging your hair, now I don’t color my hair, but even without color, my hair still ended up very soft, and had plenty of volume. I thought that the shampoo worked well with the conditioner, considering the conditioner was very light, so it was a great combo, and worked well with my hair. The smell is so good, it has natural ingredients that is meant to protect your hair. I loved it!!

2016-05-09-16-27-30

Next, the Charcoal Purifying Shampoo/Conditioner. Now, this I have heard of, I looked on Youtube and the reviews were great, so when I got the chance, I literally jumped on it. The shampoo does not turn your hair black (like I thought), it smells of citrus, it’s really light on my hair, and if you want a thorough wash, this would be the perfect product. The conditioner was a great detangler. The combination of shampoo/conditoner was great, it lathers well, my hair remains strong as well as, soft with a ton of volume.

2016-05-09-16-20-37

2016-05-09-16-18-49

Between the two I have to say, I love the charcoal Purifying Collection. It was literally the best for my hair. The smell of citrus, and the lather it produces is amazing. I love this product.

2016-05-09-16-29-44

The hask Kalahari Melon oil is one of my favorites of hair oils. After blowdrying my hair using this makes life so much easier. The oil gives my hair a great texture, and creates volume while putting heat to my hair. This oil provides protection against heat, which is a plus considering I flat iron my hair every other week. ( on low, no damage, promise!!).

2016-05-09-16-33-17

The next thing is 2 deep Conditioners, one from the Kalahari Collection and the other from the Charcoal Purifying Collection. The charcoal deep conditioner works wonders, it provides a lot of moisture, and nutrients in the process of texturizing my hair. It works really well to put it in before using the actual conditioner, using this process makes your hair 10× softer. The same goes for the Kalahari deep condition, I really didn’t see a difference, except for the smells, which actually made my hair smell like a Lush bathbomb. Anyways, both of these deep conditioners worked well, they both seem to work better after shampooing and before using the actual conditioner, otherwise your hair is more likely to come out sticky, and a little stiff.

2016-05-09-16-37-56

Lastly, I got 2 hair brushes that came with each collection. My favorite one has to be the brush with the pineapple, I mean it reminds me of Summer.

Here are the links to both Hask Collection:

Hask Charcoal Purifying Collection

Well that’s my review, I hope you enjoyed it, this was literally the most fun post to try. “comment” below what’s your favorite hair products, and if you’ve tried Hask products, which is your favorite collection?

Vanity Fair Best Dressed: My Top 5 Picks

PhotoGrid_1439007924129

Vanity Fair just made the 2015 International Best dressed list (thats a mouthful). And though it featured so many stylish celebrities, there’s 5 in particular that stand out allthe time.
Here’s my Top 5 picks from the list
PhotoGrid_1439007463062
“The International Style Star”
• Amal Clooney, is at the top of the list, Why?you ask, lets see, she’s an accomplished international human rights lawyer, married to George Clooney (Hello), and has not made one single misstake far as fashion. On her first major Red Carpet it was breathtaking that she wore Dior with the look of simplicity, elegance, and drama to the Oscars 2015. Amal has a great since odf style while wearing the biggest names in fashion from Giambattista Valli, to Stella McCartney. I really love her style, which makes her number 1 in my style book.

PhotoGrid_1439007531557
“The Rebellious Rockstar”
• Rihanna, is a style genius, she takes the cake for being one of my favorite style stars. Rihanna can wear Couture, street clothes, and Nothing, and she can still be one of my favorites. She has worn Zac Posen,Chanel, and Dior (which she is the face of). From red carpets to the street, she has made it cool to dress how you want, and be DARING to the maxx.

PhotoGrid_1439007590384
The Biggest Star”
• Theres no doubt Taylor Swift is one of the biggest stars on the planet, and so is her style. 2015 has been Taylor’s year, she has won countless awards, a number 1 international album “1989”, a world tour, and now 2 Vanity Fair spreads, and did I mention she’s dating Calvin Harris(No big deal). Taylor shocks in the best of ways, performing at Victoria Secret fashion show, showed that she can be Sexy, but far as red carpets and streetstyle, she looks like she rolled out of a magazine every single time. To me, I haven’t seen Taylor make me think twice about her outfit choices at all. #Stylegoalsforlife.

PhotoGrid_1439007615455
The Editorial Sweetheart
• I love Emma Stone, I think that she’s super funny, and a great actor, without even trying…I can say the same about her sense of style. Emma is a editorial favorite. She’s able to wear the biggest names in fashion Lanvin, Chanel, Ellie Saab, but Emma always seem to obtain her sweet personality, and strong presence. Emma is on my faves list for a reason.

PhotoGrid_1439007697600
The Posh Fashionista
• Now, I can’t make a list of my faves without putting, the woman who creates the list. Victoria Beckham is one of my favorite designers of all time. She creates the most simplistic, and sophisticated collections on the Runway, and that goes to her streetstyle as well. Victoria maintains the balance of being married to David Beckham (No Biggie!!), 4 kids (all adorable), and a successful clothing line. Victoria is my queen of style, I get super excited about her style, because she dresses classic but puts her own modern twist on it.

Have you seen the Vanity Fair Best dressed list? Who was your favorite on the list? Remember to like this post, and comment your favorite style star.

• Hi Lovelies,
Today couldn’t feel more amazing, I just had to post an OOTD, the weather was to tempting. Being that its Springtime, I kind of want to play against, the obvious bright colors, and go more chic this time around. I paired my fave army green jeggs, with my black & white ny branded shirt. Hope you enjoy the details of my ootd, and enjoy the rest of your day☀☀
