$$$ Skin Moisturizer? Rico Beauty Essentials

Hello Lovelies,

I’m sure we can all agree that when it comes to skincare, we are willing to go above and beyond to get that perfect, glowing; Instagram-able skin. I recently got to try a skin moisturizer for Rico Beauty Essentials, and I have to admit I was super intrigued by the skin benefits it had to offer. No doubt I have tried plenty of moisturizers ranging from luxury to drugstore, and I can say while some did work for me, there were more that didn’t. Rico beauty essentials is not your typical overly hyped product, but the big question, does it work?

Rico beauty essentials can be found Amazon, which made me a little apprehensive to try, so I had to do some research before testing the product, but if it’s one thing I learned the best products are of Indie brands. Before we get into the review, here’s a little info on the product. The Rico beauty essentials retinol moisturizer, is designed to stimulate production of new skin cells, it helps fade dark marks caused by hyperpigmentation. This retinol moisturizer contains Hyaluronic acid, organic Aloe Vera, Green tea, Vitamin E, and Jojoba oil. As for the price, it’s under $20, so this is definitely a deal $$$.

RETINOL MOISTURIZER

After my routine facial cleansing, I use this moisturizer day and night for about a month, and I can say the effect of the green tea is a plus. While the moisturizer has a list of organic ingredients, the green tea and hyaluronic acid, is felt the most. I say these to particular ingredients, because through this entire process, my skin feels plumper, and the hyperpigmentation of my scars is fading. This cream is light texture and absorbs into the skin, rather than sit on the dermis. Immediately you feel the botanicals working within the skin cells, when applied to the skin, and no there is no greasiness when applying the cream. The cream comes in a 1.7 fl.oz container, so you get a good amount of product, a little goes a long way. My skin after a month of using this feels brighter, my scars have faded and also just an overall healthier feeling.

This moisturizer is completely worth the $$. The difference in my skin has completely benefited from this cream, and I see a total difference in texture. Is it worth the money? I would say $20 can seem like a lot to some people, I will say this, it does work, so If you were to buy It you’ll be getting your money’s worth.

Thanks for reading my review, tell me if you are a skincare junkie in the comments, would you be interested in using this moisturizer? Be sure to Like & Comment your fave skincare brand.

Skincare with MD Complete Skincare

DSC08009-1

Hi Loves! Let’s talk skincare! I really have lost count of how many bloggers, & social influencers I stalk, I mean follow, on Instagram just to take notes of what products work for them. Skincare is something that I take serious, especially since there’s no time clock to stop from aging, just to think that all I would do was throw water on my face and call it a day……but now my skincare routine is just as long as my makeup routine + getting dressed combined. Skincare 101 skincare routines consists of a cleanser, moisturizer, serum, skin balm, toner, night time facial mask, your first born, nondisclosure agreement….just kidding, but routines consist of half of these steps to get the job done. Today I want to share a 3 step skin system that has been super beneficial to my skin routine.

I heard about Md Skincare Complete skincare by Brian Zelickson, about maybe a year ago, through social media, and most recently got the opportunity to try some of their acne fighting products. When it comes to acne fighting products, with so many skincare brands, it starts to feel like if you’ve tried one, you’ve tried’em all. The overwhelming feeling I get when I’m going back and forth between products, comparing ingredients (& prices) this is time consuming, and wind up going over the budget. I have 100% combination skin plus active psoriasis, shopping for 1 skin issue is hard enough, having to find products for oily/dry skin, plus constant sensitive skin, can be draining. I have found something that works for my skin, and not stop after only a few uses ( know what I mean Okkur)!

mdskincare19.0DSC08014-2

The Md complete skincare acne fighting system, comes with a cleanser, moisturizer, and facial serum, all infused with Vitamin C + E, Retinol & BPO ( natural ingredients to fight against acne). For any starting routine, washing your face is important, If it’s one thing I make sure I do every day is wash my face. The Clarifying Cleanser is the starting step to clear skin. The clarifying cleanser is a light a cleanser infused with Salicylic Acid and natural botanicals that cleanses oil/dirt out of my pores. COME THRUUU skincare goals, I have been using this cleanser for a while now, and all my skin probs have been answered. The cleanser is super potent, the application is really consistent, it is not as sudsy as other gel cleansers, it performs as a natural gel. After the wash, my skin feels free of oils and a days worth of makeup ( you guys know the process).

mdskincare1.2

After cleansing the skin, I use the MD Complete breakout treatment, which is a light moisturizer, that prevents breakouts & hydrates the skin. The breakout treatment helps to restore + replenish the skin for a smoother, healthier, complexion.

The last step in the acne clearing system is the Vitamin C healthy complexion serum. This retinol infused serum, helps to tone, tighten, and yes…. clear dark scaring. This serum is to be used both night and day ( after washing your face, of course) packed with all Vitamins A, B, C, + E to help prevent future acne, tighten pores, as well as giving the appearance of matte skin. The consistency of the serum does have a sticky texture, but that’s the active ingredient of Vitamin C.

Oh! after the final step, there is a final, final step, which includes a probiotic supplement drink. MD skincare healthy skin probiotic, is a supplement infused with niacin ( fancy word for Vitamin B) that is a internal supplement that targets stress levels….I mean, what? As you know stress, plays a big part in acne, and this probiotic ( may I add it taste like berries) restores the balance of your nutrition; & supports complexion. My skin consumes this product line so much; I already can tell the difference in my skin, and overall health completely. After the time of using all the products, my skin feels lighter; and the acne scarring is slowly, but surely disappearing.

Hi Lovelies,

I’m back with another beauty haul, today I am going to be reviewing 2 palettes of the Balm cosmetics, Guys! I don’t know how much I rave about this brand, probably a lot, but I was excited to try theBalmJovi palette and the Smoke palette. So, lets get into this review, SHALL WE.

lrm_export_20170211_2115361

 lrm_export_20170211_2140251

I am a huge “palette girl” I love a great drugstore brand palette, I mean I’m all for luxury brands, but I don’t like being completely broke. The Balm, if I haven’t said it before, this brand has great quality products for great prices.

Okay now for the palette, the Balm Jovi palette is a full face palette that comes with 12 eye shadows , highlighter, blush, and 2 lip shades. I never used a full face palette, I buy products individually, but I feel that this palette has its advantages, I mean you’re paying for a palette that comes literally with everything, and you’re saving a ton of money. This palette retails for $20, which is a great price for the entire palette.

This palette is so amazing the eye shadows have 4 metallic shades, 4 matte, and 4 shimmer shades. All the eye shadow shades are super pigmented, they are very creamy and I love how the shades vary they have light shades, transition shades, and dark shades also they have a few warm tone colors which I live for.

lrm_export_20170212_1133191

I swatched all the shades and I did have to prime my arm, I never had to do that BTW, but the shadows shows up as they do in the palette. Each swatch is 2 layers so they show up better. Okay, so the shades itself are super pigmented, they all show up nicely, they are not at all chalky, they apply very smooth, and even swatch super creamy. I like that that the palette had 3 different shade finishes ( metallic, matte, and shimmer).

The consistency of this palette is very nice I think the shades are lovely so the swatches are above. (left to right)

The first 4 are all metallic shades_

  • Metallica  ( white Metallic)
  • Iron Maiden ( Golden)
  • Led Zepplin ( Olive Green Metallic)
  • Alice Cooper (Brown w/Mauve undertone Metallic)

I really love these pigmented metallic shades, they are rich in color, and apply so creamy, I also like that they are grouped as heavy metal rock bands, all of whom I’ve listened to a billion times, these shades apply really nice with/out primer, there is a ton of fall out, but what eyeshadow doesn’t.

The MID – 4 Matte

  • Adagio ( very light brown w/white undertone)
  • Allegro (Taupe Brown)
  • Moderato ( Deep matte Purple)
  • Presto (Deep Brown)

So these 4 are all matte shades based on classical music, which is really great. I love the shades, they are very wearable warm tone shades. I like the deep purple that is in the mix. I think the shades are really pretty, the only thing is that these are best with a primer, otherwise they show up super light, barely visible with exception of the deep purple. Overall the classical shades are really nice, and  nice range of shades for the palette.

The last 4 – Shimmer shades

  • Blink 182 ( Nude Brown w/ pink undertone )
  • The Stroke ( Navy Blue)
  • Rem ( Lilac Purple)
  • Third Eye Blinded ( A fair Pink shimmer)

The last 4 are all shimmer shades, these shades are grouped based off popular rock bands. These shades have to be my favorite, they are super pigmented, and out of all the shades these 4 didn’t have as much fall out as the rest. These shades look really pretty with/without primer. The shimmer shades do have a ton of glitter, but I really like the shimmer on my eyes.

Overall the eye shades look really nice, the application of these shades all have a nice creamy consistency, I have to say the metallic shades have to be my favorite, they show up better on my eyes and the color range is wearable day or night.

Next is the Smoke Balm palette, this palette is a great palette for any day, they only contain 3 shades a shimmer black, a warm neutral shade, and a highlight shade. I really like the shades in this palette, the shades are not crazy shades, they are warm tone colors, which I appreciate.

The shades are:

  • Blaze ( shimmer Black)
  • Spark ( Matte taupe brown)
  • Flame ( highlight)

I really like this palette, Blaze and spark are my favorite, they are super pigmented and have a very rich consistency. The shades start off light, so they are buildable, the highlight shade is a little to light for my skin tone, it almost look chalky, but swatch wise its very beautiful, it looks like Ice, its kind of comparable to the champagne pop glow palette.

“Life isn’t perfect, but my hair is” | Hask Hair Review

LRM_EXPORT_20161113_110541.jpg

Hi Lovelies,

Its great to be back blogging again, I have been very distracted lately, but I feel more focused and much better…Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days.”

Well I’m back with another review, and I am so excited to share it. I have been a Hask hair fan for a while now, I’ve tried a lot of their hair collections through pr and through me being a hair freak, but the new super fruit hair collection is the latest to hit the shelves.  When it comes to pr branding, I am very particular about what I try and am not afraid to give my opinion, so lets break down this review.

LRM_EXPORT_20161113_010234 (1).jpg

So when it comes to hair, it is very sensitive my hair in particular can not have a ton of salicylic acid and parabens. The super fruit collection is free of parabens and filled with vitamins and fatty- acids which are really great to promote healthy hair and natural growth. The collection came with a shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, and a cute hask hair brush.

LRM_EXPORT_20161113_112248 (1).jpg

lrm_export_20161113_112714

I’ve been using this entire collection for a little over 3 weeks and my hair is very healthy, the consistency of the shampoo/conditioner duo really is a light weight formula, it doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, so as far as the shampoo and condition, its a definite MUST!

lrm_export_20161113_113412

The next thing I want to talk about is the deep condition, now normally I’m not a fan of the deep condition, just because of the entire long process, but I found that it’s not really as bad. As far as, using the deep condition you only deep condition maybe twice a week. It is time consuming, but in between reading a  book, or watching your favorite movie (psk psk Lord of the Rings) it is very relaxing to my hair, and I think that its worth it at the end of the day.

Well that’s all for my review I hope you enjoyed it, be sure to “Like” if you like my product reviews, and “comment” if you have tried Hask Hair care products, if so what’s your favorite collection?
