It feels like it’s been forever since I incorporated a makeup look on my blog, but today that changes! I’m in absolute awe of Morphe, they just give me everything I want in makeup, they consist of pigment, brushes, and best of all great prices; like what more can you ask for. Recently I was able to get their old but new 35m Boss Mood palette for $10 during Ulta’s 25 day Christmas countdown, now normally I don’t really partake in this event, but I was in need of some much needed makeup retail therapy. The Boss Mood palette consist of 35 shades from neon green to the blackest of black. I love their collection of shades; the shimmer shades are pigmented AF, and relatively smooth in texture, they glide on the lid so easily and pick up real nice. The other matte shades are really gorgeous, they have a variety of shades neon, army, berry, reds; the only color the palette need was a pink to be damn near perfect.
Anyhow I did create this purple/cranberry look using just about all the purple tones and a few hints of reds. I hope you enjoyed this very minimal post, I’ll be back with more Makeup MOndays!!
K- beauty have really been trending this year in makeup + skincare, trying new brands gives me an idea of what to look forward to with brands & products, well the brand I’ve reviewed recently is touch in sol.
Touch in sol is a Korean brand, that was founded in Seoul, Korea. This particular brand creates affordable, fun beauty that showcases a variety from skincare to cosmetics. The brand develops products infused with natural botanical ingredients that are cruelty-free.
I have tested out 2 products from their inclusive line; first is a Voluminous mascara & the other is a dual duo-chrome eyeshadow.
Stretchex stretch lash effect mascara
The Stretchex mascara is a volume infused mascara; enriched with silk protein to protect and elongate the lashes. I love this mascara the formula is not heavy & doesn’ t contain a lot of wax, no one wants spider lashes, this is a very build-able mascara, which you can manipulate how thick you want your lashes. The wand is curved and able to get each individual lash. The application is very beauty and the lash wear is impressive. I know we all been through the moments of taking off makeup, and the process can be long, but this mascara comes off with no problem; using something light like Baby oil, or Urban decay meltdown makeup remover gets it off super fast! super easy. This mascara is $22 USD, which falls in the price range of luxury brands. Now, is the product a bit expensive? yeaahhh, but like luxury brands, you question whether you’re paying for product or brand, in this case it’s both. K- beauty is a highly favored brand now a days, but as far as the product itself, it works as it advertise.
Metallist liquid foil & glitter duo shadow
Let’s chit chat on this product, liquid shadows have been the Gag! of the world of eyeshadow; and when you think about every brand jumped on the band wagon to create them from L’Oreal to Stila cosmetics, & K- beauty has joined the crew. Touch in sol have created foil/glitter duo shadows coming in various shades. The shades come in 9 different shades( swatched below) and the one I got to try was the shade Eldora, which was a pigmented Gold shimmer and a pressed gold foil.
I really love the shade it’s really gold and creamy when applying, it does dry out a bit when blending, but as an all over shadow it works. The shadow has an angled doe foot applicator, which allows a lot of manipulation in how much product is applied, so that’s definitely an advantage. The foil side has a flat spatula applicator to pack on the product, I really like this, just enough product comes out, but the fallout is so crazy, friendly warning! I would just say be careful, so glitter doesn’t get in your eye. I really like this shadow duo, it’s price is $24 USD, which is again a luxury price range, but you’re getting 2 shadow choices for the price.
So what you think about K-beauty, have you tried the brand? Will you be trying the duo shadows? If so, “like” this post and “comment” if you love K’beauty……….

When it comes to beauty, I think enough is never really “enough” and when the opportunity comes to try a new brand or product, I’m quick to take up the offer. Most recently I got the chance to test Dirty Girl Cosmetics, and if you haven’t heard here’s a little insight. Dirty Girl Cosmetics was started in 2014, This brand is associated with the appreciation of being a confident women, as well as owning independence above all standards.
I got the chance to reach out to the company and propose a collaboration, because why not? Also, A beauty company on empowering women, yes Please! I was sent what I like to call “heavens’ beauty package” which consist of Contour palettes, 2 eyeshadow palettes, and etc. After talking to myself like a psycho, and taking a ton of pics for my Instagram stories, I got down to swatching all the items in the package. So, with that being said, lets get into it!
The Contour palette contains 2 highlighter shades, 3 Contour shades, and 3 Concealers. This palette is a powder base palette, which mean there is some fall out.
The shades in the palette are very smooth, and creamy application. When I used the highlighter shades they were so buttery. The shades are buildable in both the contours and concear, but because they are a powder form, they can look a little chalky. Here are the swatches, the highlighters come in a white champagne shade (first) and the other is almost a golden shade. They are both beautiful, I think that the feeling is very high quality, almost like Profusion or Stila. Overall while the palette has some misses, I will use it again, even if that means using it with other products.
The Cream Concealer palette I got ranged in 6 shades from the coolest of white, to a warm tone brown. This has to be my favorite face palette. The palette had full coverage and was able to blend in perfect, Thank God! When I originally opened the palette I thought the shades doesn’t have much of a range, Its going to ruin my foundation, but once I used it there was no turning back. I love these shades they are super rich’ and build-able, I think a little goes a lonnnggggg way.
Lastly, are the eyeshadow palettes, I recieved 2 one by the brand itself, and the other was beauty creations. Now, when it comes to eyeshadows, I think every brand is different, but in ways are similar. I tried both palettes, and lets start with Beauty Creations. Beauty Creations Nudes palette, contained 12 shades w/ 8 shimmer shades 4 matte shades. I loved the shimmer shades, they contain glitter, but who doesn’t mind a little extra shimmer. When I swatched the shades the shimmer shades seem more pigment, and more of a velvet touch, which feels really nice. I didn’t really care for the matte shades that much, they didn’t really build, they were really chalky, but when it comes to eyeshadows, they can’t all be winners. Even though the matte shades were a bit of a miss, the shimmer shades could do no wrong. The next palette was the Dirty Girl Cosmetics Blush Nudes palette, which contained the same amount of shimmer shades and mattes. I tried this palette w/wo a primer to see would it appear more vibrant than what was appearing on my arm, and the shades were a little disappointing. I do like some of the shimmer shades; like the more rose-y and champagne shades, but the darker the shades, the more chalky the shades appeared. I can see myself using these palettes again, just for certain shimmer shades, But that’s just my opinion, Beauty Gurus test them for yourself and tell me if you have a different opinion.
If you enjoyed this post, be sure to “LIKE” and “COMMENT” what’s your fave eyeshadow palette? Also check out Dirty Girl Cosmetics, to see the products shown in the post. Until next time! xx,
