So if you’ve taken college classes, morning, noon, or night; you know the feeling, of not being energized and having to survive on that early cup of starbucks, but Becca cosmetics has provided a 3 step eye trick that will give us that trying-not- trying bright eye look.
Influenster sent out a bunch of Becca bright eye boxes, for us beauty bloggers and enthusiasts to try and I was super excited. Of course, a new product hits the shelf, the first thing I do, do my research on youtube.
After ransacking the internet, here’s what I found out.
#BECCAbrighteyes comes with 3 products;
Becca Anti Fatigue eye primer
This under eye primer is meant for not only smooth application, but helps fight fatigue, and reduce the appearance of fine lines. The first step, prep and prime the skin before concealer. The product is infused with Antioxidant, and green tea, which leaves the skin with a natural glow, and smooth feeling. This product retails for $32, and comes in a hand held compact.
The anti fatigue primer, feels so smooth to the touch, I feel that the price is a little pricey, for the size, but the product itself is worth it.
Becca Bright eye Corrector
The corrector is concealer that neutralizes dark under eye circles. This retails for $32.
The bright eye corrector is the 2nd step to achieving #BECCAbrighteye look. This concealer is creamy, and laid over the primer achieves a natural look, without creasing into your “designer bags” I really think the concealer works well, but I’m sure you can find any concealer that will work well.
BECCA bright eyes Setting Powder
Setting the face is the final step…almost there! After priming and concealing, time to set the eyes, to be sure your eyes do not crease throughout the day. The setting powder is very fine, which doesn’t cause chunky product to ruin the look. The setting powder is enriched with Raspberry stem cells, and Australian berries, that will give you that healthy boost of energy in the skin. The setting powder retails for $25.
After using all 3 products I think the products work really well together, the price you’ll be paying for the entire kit is $89, Wheww, thank goodness for free samples. But I think you can find similar products for much cheaper, I recommend all products, but I think the star product is the primer.
I hope you enjoyed this post, if you like reviews/posts be sure to “LIKE” and “COMMENT” Also have you tried the #BECCAbrighteye 3 step kit, if so let me know.

Job, house, car….clear skin?? Things I continuously wish for every year, but this year, 1 out of the 4 wishes came true. Neutrogena launched it’s Healthy skin line of makeup. When it comes to Neutrogena, they always reinvent their formulas, which is why I keep buying from this brand. I got a chance to work with Neutrogena and test out a few of there new products from their collection, here are my thoughts.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin® Liquid Makeup provides luminous, natural-looking. The formula contains an exclusive blend of antioxidants including Vitamin E, Natural Soy and Feverfew Extract along with Broad Spectrum SPF 20 to visibly improve luminosity, tone and texture over time for healthier looking skin – making Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup better for your skin than wearing no makeup at all. Available in 14 shades.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin® Liquid Makeup offers advanced cosmetic solutions that go beyond covering up imperfections and work to transform complexions, blending seamlessly to provide lightweight, breathable and flawless-looking coverage, for fresh and luminous looking skin.
Neutrogena has developed a line of liquid foundations that will fight against the brisk cold and sunny days. The foundation is enriched with Vitamin E, soy, and fever few, all ingredients that help perfect the radiance and natural glow of the skin.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin liquid foundation
I was sent 3 foundations from the healthy skin line in shades: Honey, Warm Beige, and natural tan. My skin looses all of my summer glow during the winter so, imagine switching back and forth between foundations, a headache, right? The shades were all perfect, when I started blending with my Artis brush, I thought crap, it’s showing all my pores, and its really wet, but I started buffing it out more, and it started to settle in, which was a relief, so no worries. The neutrogena healthy skin foundation is really great when it comes to the formula, and the consistency of the formulas all together.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost hydration concealer
One thing the winter does, is intensify dry skin, something that is not wanted, by popular vote. I love using this concealer, the concealer is creamy, and rich in pigment. Though it has intense pigment, it does not look cake-y, using this over top of my foundation looked gorgeous. Some concealers have a tendency to move my foundation, after applying it, but the hydro boost adds brightness to the foundation, and allows it to blend beautifully.
Neutrogena Healthy Volume mascara
Being that I have tried a TON of mascaras high & low priced, only a few have actually lived up to expectations. The Neutrogena volume mascara, is formulated with Olive oil, which helps with the overall plump look of each individual lash. I love the wand, for the mascara, all the bristles are evenly spread over the brush, which hits every lash. The mascara and the wand are packaged separately, and allows you to see how much product is dispersed on it. The product, when applied to the lashes, doesn’t feel like wax, it has more moisture to it, so it doesn’t give that clumpy look to my lashes. Overall great product, and well recommended.
Neutrogena nourishing long wear eyeshadow | Healthy Skin Blush | Healthy Skin Primer
Along with the neutrogena collection I received an eye shadow palette, a skin perfecting primer, and a blush. Lets start with the neutrogena eyeshadow, I got the shade Cool plum, and that comes with 4 shades. This palette is great for traveling and also quick looks, that won’t take hours. All the shades contain shimmer, but the pigment is great. With every great eyeshadow, there will be fallout, but when a shade is super rich, it happens! I love how all the shades are coordinate with each other, and also that the shades are infused with a primer, the primer helps the pigment come through more, as well as feel buttery rather than chalk-y. The Healthy skin primer was my favorite thing to try out. This skin primer appears as a tinted moisturizer, but as I rubbed it in, it absorbed into my skin, also completely rid me of my dry skin. This primer adds complete moisture to the skin, while also leaving the tackiness for a well applied foundation. This primer contains SPF 15, it gives me the protection I need. Wearing this alone, would appear as a base and a sheer foundation, which for some days, is all I can get to #schooldayz. Blush is not something that regularly reach for, but in this case I’ll make an exception, I was sent the Neutrogena healthy skin blush, I got shade 20, which is a cool blush pink tone. The blush almost has a sheen effect over the skin, as well as a shimmer.I really like this blush, it is very buttery, and soft, it doesn’t look chalk-y and blends into my make up nicely.
This New year, I got to recreate 1 of 4 looks using the Healthy skin line, and what better way to ring in new beginnings with healthy skin. Choosing from a the makeup artist( Carola Gonzalez, Angela Levin, and Amy Oresman) who does, Nicole Kidman, Kerry Washington, and Eiza Gonzalez, I chose to pick none other than Olivia Pope, Kerry Washington deep plum look. This look was so much fun to create, as you can see the makeup is blended to perfection, and this was a 1,2 ,3…step process, the longest time spent was on eyelashes.

Hair? A topic that is more or less stressful for the average male or female. We have the daily struggles of color changes, whether we want straight or curls, and the obvious tug war with should I cut it and start over.
Weaves, braids, wigs, are put on this planet to make life easier. With the constant hassles of damaging hair, weaves are a safe way to change your hair as well as, protecting it from heat, and other negative hair factors.
besthairbuy, a site that gives you options of virgin, synthetic, and wigs to change your look whenever you get that itch. Now I know the questions that comes next, With so many options, which do I choose for the best results?
Virgin hair is the best hair to choose from if you want a natural look, what is it about Virgin hair that makes it the top of hair choices? Virgin hair comes in a variety of Malaysian, Indian, Peruvian, and Brazilian. When it comes to virgin hair, it has natural fibers in that makes it look more natural, and act as natural hair texture, it also last longer when taken care of. Also the price of natural hair is more on the pricey side, rather than synthetic hair. The differences are more apparent with the use of water, and how it dries, as for the variety, each type of virgin hair reacts differently, lets start with Malaysian. Virgin Malaysian hair, is the softest of hair types, also the appearance is shiny, and gives a more natural looking finish.
Indian hair, has a very thick; appearance nor is it as shiny as the Malaysian hair. Indian hair has a range of wavy hair. Indian hair is one of the most natural looking when it comes to the affect it has when wet.
Peruvian Hair, a little coarser and thicker in texture than Indian or Brazilian hair. It blends well with normal African-American relaxed hair textures and medium Caucasian hair textures. The curly texture becomes more curly when wet or washed.
Lastly, Brazilian Hair is silkier and shinier in texture than Indian Hair. The Straight textures are not bone straight but tends to curly beautifully at the end. This hair holds curls very well and tends to hold curls longer than the Indian Hair.
Virgin Hair can be pressed, curled, and colored, all without harming the follicles of your underlying natural hair. With virgin hair it will blend in and look more natural when added in as a sew in weave or a full lace front wig. When it comes to Virgin hair, Beyonce, Zendaya, and Yara are all queens who swear by weaves and wigs.

When it comes to beauty, I think enough is never really “enough” and when the opportunity comes to try a new brand or product, I’m quick to take up the offer. Most recently I got the chance to test Dirty Girl Cosmetics, and if you haven’t heard here’s a little insight. Dirty Girl Cosmetics was started in 2014, This brand is associated with the appreciation of being a confident women, as well as owning independence above all standards.
I got the chance to reach out to the company and propose a collaboration, because why not? Also, A beauty company on empowering women, yes Please! I was sent what I like to call “heavens’ beauty package” which consist of Contour palettes, 2 eyeshadow palettes, and etc. After talking to myself like a psycho, and taking a ton of pics for my Instagram stories, I got down to swatching all the items in the package. So, with that being said, lets get into it!
The Contour palette contains 2 highlighter shades, 3 Contour shades, and 3 Concealers. This palette is a powder base palette, which mean there is some fall out.
The shades in the palette are very smooth, and creamy application. When I used the highlighter shades they were so buttery. The shades are buildable in both the contours and concear, but because they are a powder form, they can look a little chalky. Here are the swatches, the highlighters come in a white champagne shade (first) and the other is almost a golden shade. They are both beautiful, I think that the feeling is very high quality, almost like Profusion or Stila. Overall while the palette has some misses, I will use it again, even if that means using it with other products.
The Cream Concealer palette I got ranged in 6 shades from the coolest of white, to a warm tone brown. This has to be my favorite face palette. The palette had full coverage and was able to blend in perfect, Thank God! When I originally opened the palette I thought the shades doesn’t have much of a range, Its going to ruin my foundation, but once I used it there was no turning back. I love these shades they are super rich’ and build-able, I think a little goes a lonnnggggg way.
Lastly, are the eyeshadow palettes, I recieved 2 one by the brand itself, and the other was beauty creations. Now, when it comes to eyeshadows, I think every brand is different, but in ways are similar. I tried both palettes, and lets start with Beauty Creations. Beauty Creations Nudes palette, contained 12 shades w/ 8 shimmer shades 4 matte shades. I loved the shimmer shades, they contain glitter, but who doesn’t mind a little extra shimmer. When I swatched the shades the shimmer shades seem more pigment, and more of a velvet touch, which feels really nice. I didn’t really care for the matte shades that much, they didn’t really build, they were really chalky, but when it comes to eyeshadows, they can’t all be winners. Even though the matte shades were a bit of a miss, the shimmer shades could do no wrong. The next palette was the Dirty Girl Cosmetics Blush Nudes palette, which contained the same amount of shimmer shades and mattes. I tried this palette w/wo a primer to see would it appear more vibrant than what was appearing on my arm, and the shades were a little disappointing. I do like some of the shimmer shades; like the more rose-y and champagne shades, but the darker the shades, the more chalky the shades appeared. I can see myself using these palettes again, just for certain shimmer shades, But that’s just my opinion, Beauty Gurus test them for yourself and tell me if you have a different opinion.

My favorite things to do on my days off, other than drink a ton of coffee & watch reruns of Stranger Things, is relax with a nice facial mask. I have tried every facial mask from clay, to bubble, but one mask that I gravitate to time and time again is the sheet mask. While some mask, seem to extract all the oils, and moisture out my face, sheet mask calms any redness I have on my face, while locking in the moisture.
WHEN FACIAL MASKS
When facial mask is falling into its own category of developing a collection of mask that will take care of any problematic issue, which with skin is A L O T! When has a product line, of 5 mask meant to change the skin fit for the women on the go. Lets talk about each one, shall we.
10 pm | A mask meant for tired skin
Glamour Base | The mask for the perfect primer base, before your makeup routine, begins ( Contains Collagen and peptides to help boost the skin)
Snow Magic |Brightening effects to give you a natural highlight and glow
Travel Mate | Rejuvenating, perfect for the women who rushes out the door]
The Last Choice | Hydrating, When you need a perk of moisture and skin needs a drink of water
Each mask contains a different ingredient that helps boost, tone, moisturize, and firm the skin in a matter of minutes. Ingredients like Chamomile, Aloe Vera, Vitamin B3, etc; things that help the skin to process all those last minute runs, and meetings. The bio cellulose that is held within every sheet mask is able to hold 10x more moisture than any other sheet mask, which allows the mask not to dry as fast. Is that SHADE towards other brands? No, but other brands take notes.
I really like all the mask, the one in particular is the Snow Magic, simply because of its brightening affects. I have had a few dark marks, here and there, skincare has become a priority, keeping it healthy inside and out has changed my views on what products to use and how much I’m willing to spend. The Snow Magic sheet mask, has really great brightening affects, not that it changes your appearance or anything but the fact that it gives me a glow, and moisturizes the areas that are dead dry, I couldn’t stop using it.
These When Sheet mask are available at Sephora, click the link to find out more, about the brand and products.

Just to address the HUmungous gap of me not writing, I have been in school, and that alone is an explanation on its own, but I have been getting numerous things PR & buying the latest, and will be posting like a normal person….great to be back on my BOSS game.
Today I want to talk S K I N C A R E, a topic that I love more than makeup. It’s important to have a regime that is effective, I can’t tell you how many times I have switched out products, between luxury and drugstore brands, I could probably equal it to a semesters’ tuition, no Joke! At the age of, 22, you probably think, “hmm what skin problems?’ but with les stress, and being very active, there are 22 years of scaring, and sun damage, that has not yet healed completely. I have completely stopped listening to TV and have stopped reading into what youtubers use and decided to try things out for myself, unless you’re Zendaya.
I have been a fan of Vanity Planet, for a while now, they have quality products for the best prices. Recently I got to try out one of their sought out clay mask, I’m more of a sheet mask kind a girl, but the thing I like about mask in raw clay form, you’re able to mix and match ingredients that work best with my skin type. Vanity Planet carries 3 clay mask types; Rose, Charcoal, and Green tea. I chose to try the Zen Goddess green tea mask, if you don’t know the benefits of green tea, where have you been? Green tea is all about improving skin complexion, and diminishing scarring of the worst sorts. The mask is $22 in between luxury & drugstore, which is right up my price range.
When it comes to mixing my facial mask, I use honey, lemon juice, Thayers Witch Hazel, and drops of Tea tree oil, all skin brightening components. I use this mask, twice a week, and it really gives you a radiant glow. This is just the first part to my skin routine, this facial is followed by water cleansing, toner, and moisturizer. I really like the clay mask, they are totally worth it, for skin glowing properties and a step to a skin upgrade itself.
Well that’s my skincare regime that I’ve been using for the past month and a half, super simple & easy. I really love the clay mask, and all its benefits, as well as, the availability of price range, the one thing I would say is in the future, I would love a complete collection toner, moisturizer , etc.
Have you tried Vanity Planet? If so, what’s your favorite products? Also if you haven’t here are the links to the website, I really recommend the products, they are all spot on, and worth it. If you enjoy post like this, “LIKE” this post, and “comment” your favorite product.
