Best Dressed | The Oscars 2017

Hi Lovelies,

So the most prestigious of award shows came on Sunday night, The Oscars, which was hosted by another great late night host Jimmy Kimmel. This award season has been the year of Late Night hosts, Jimmy Fallon, Kimmel and James Corden all have hosted the biggest award shows this year, and have been amazing, and while I would love to discuss the best moments of last nights show, I will only be discussing fashion, before it get to long of a post. LOL

Now, I love nothing more than talking about my favorite stars and what their wearing, so lets begin!!

“Women in White”

I love a woman in white, it usually looks so beautiful against the red carpet, and normally gets best it’s no surprise these lovely ladies would make it on the list. Naomie Harris, Chrissy Teigen, Karlie Kloss, and more all dawned white gowns, but not only that they Chrissy, Karlie, and Darby all had a long “caped shoulder” design on their gowns, now I loved it, It was so inventive, and reminded me a little of Gwenyth Paltrow in Tom Ford and Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren. My favorite out of them all was probably Darby Stanchfield in Georges Chakra,  the ruffle pattern at the bottom and along the shoulder was just so gorgeous, and her hair looked amazing with minimal jewels. I just loved her look so amazing.

“Ladies in Red”

Viola Davis and Ruth Negga both looked stunning in red. Viola Davis who wore Armani, looked amazing, she also debuted a sassy short cut, I really loved her look, gown after gown all award season she has looked her best and after winning for her role in fences she is my leading lady, I will now be looking for her to show up every award season, to WOW us with her powerful presence. Ruth Negga wore Valentino for the second time I’m really starting to think she’s the face for the designer brand. ” One time, STUN me < two time SLAY MY LIFE” she absolutely looked so beautiful and she is really winning me over with her beauty. I really love red on red, a lot of people think you can get drowned out, but these women obviously drowned me because LITERALLY DEAD!!LOL

“Hidden Figures”

The “hidden Figures” cast all looked gorgeous Taraji, Janelle, and Kirsten looked super sexy in Black. Taraji P. Henson has been killing the red carpet all season and at the Oscars she showed her award winning look. She wore a black velvet off the shoulder gown by Alberta Feretti. One gown that stole a moment was Janelle in Elie Saab, this intricate and very “complicated” detailed gown looked amazing. We know that black n white are the nominated actresses go to color, but this dress had beautiful hints of colors thanks to the jewels, she couldn’t have looked more beautiful.

“Metallic & Shimmer”

Emma Stone always kills it on the red carpet, she wore Givenchy, which took me for a loop, I thought she was going to Valentino. Emma looked so beautiful, she had so much shimmer fringe that had so much movement, and the camera caught the right light to show all the shimmer effect. Jessica Biel wore a gold Kaufman Franco gown that sparkled and shined. Jessica looked way better than the Oscar it self. I really loved both gowns but I think between the two Jessica’s dress killed it.

Well that’s all I hope you enjoyed my best dressed post. Be sure to “LIKE” this post. Did you watch the Oscars? Who was your best dressed? Who was your worst? let me know in the comments.

SAG Awards 2017 | Best of the Red Carpet

Hi Lovelies,

The Sag awards has made its mark this year with empowering speeches, first time winners, Denzel Washington_ well deserved, cast reunions and a lot of fashion. I watched the red carpet before the prestigious award show and all I did is scream “Oh My God” and “Gurrrrll” all show with my Chai tea in hand. The red carpet was nothing less than amazing and I’m here to talk all my favorites.

The theme for the red carpet seem to be not only monochromatic, but lots of pale shades varying from white to fair pink, as well as daring bold colors, and fashion rebels who deviated away from gowns and rocked pant suits, which I love.

Thandie Newton, Sofia Vergara, and the lovely Janelle Monae all nominated women dawned the monochromatic print patterns. I Love when a celebrity wears black and white against the bold red carpet, to me its just very classic. Sofia did something new, usually she wears the Zac Posen fish tail dresses, but she wore something shorter, and fairly tame for her taste, at first I thought it was a bit boring, but then as she talked to Guiliana on the red carpet and I looked at her more and more, I like it more, it was gorgeous and different, she also brought husband Joe with her this time, Go Sofia. Janelle is known for rocking black and White gowns and outfits on the red carpet, but this dress (* dramatic pause*) this dress looked so gorgeous on her. She looked so chic and beautiful, the dress was tailored to perfection, and the embroidery was beautiful AF. I think between all 3 women my favorite had to be Janelle Monae’ she just took the cake and she won along with the cast for Hidden Figures, so Congratulations!!

I love an all white dress, if delivered correctly, and these 3 women never disappoint. Viola Davis, wore a bustier sleeveless gown by Vivienne Westwood, and as simple as it is,  its still beautiful. I love Viola, she shows up to the red carpet every time slaayying life itself. Kerry Washington wore this off the shoulder gown that went to see through at the bottom, she was serving Olivia Pope on a platter, and I was enjoying it. She just looked so good and has to be one of my favorites. Natalie Portman always looks amazing, she is the face of Dior and if you’re a Dior Girl you will never look bad on the Red carpet or any event in general. Natalie knows her style, she is very elegant, and has this regal appeal about her presence. I’ve always been a fan of Natalie Portman, I just love her, fashion, actress, everything wise.

Emma Stone wore Alexander McQueen in this beautiful flower embroidered gown with an illusion paneling, and this was so beautiful. Winner for La La Land, she looked so gorgeous on the red carpet, Any time there’s an award I always look for Emma Stone, her quirky personality is very lovable, and her style is even more fitting. I Love this dress so much it looked so intricate, and I’m a sucker for detailing, and this dress was definitely one of my favorites. Claire Foy was nominated and won for Television series The Crown, which is not a bad show, any show dealing with overpowering royalty, I’m for it. She dawned Valentino on the red carpet and looked as regal as can be. The black chiffon over the color and the collar was beautiful. I loved her embroidery for the neck down, the hem of the dress was nice, I love a gown that’s past your feet, or a really long train. Any ways both women were winners and they looked the part.

The lovely women in black, Octavia, Amy, Sarah, and Kate all walked the red carpet wearing black. Let’s start with Octavia Spencer, a nominee for Hidden Figures, wore a black gown with peplum detailing made by Tadashi. Octavia has always been a women to know her body, all her dresses that she has worn in the past and even at last nights event fit perfect. She always look so gorgeous and with the minimal jewelry and slick hair, it gave me time to admire her styling and beauty. Amy Adams wore a black gown with a plunging neckline, and she couldn’t look more beautiful. She turned a LBD into a success red carpet winner, I love her look. Sarah Paulson, need I say more, she always look amazing she kills it in American Horror Story, she kills it in The People v OJ Simpson, and she’s a winner on the red carpet. Sarah switches her style up and it never fails she wore a sleeveless LBD gown by Vera Wang. Kate Hudson, wore a see through paneling black gown by Dior. As I said, “Dior Girls” never disappoint. I love how Kate wore a slick back hair and minimal jewelry to make the dress the main attraction.

I Love when women come on the red carpet and they show up in a daring color or print. Naomie, Michelle Dockery, Yara, and Sofia Bush all dared to be bold on the Red Carpet. I really loved these women all nominated women slayed in bold shades. I think Yara Shahidi looked the best, I’ve been following her style since Black-ish and just like her character Zoey, she does not disappoint. Yara wore Naeem Khan and everything about this dress was just perfect.

Time for royalty, I saved these lovely ladies for last for a reason. Taraji, Emily, Kaley, and Julie all made a statement in pale shades and embroidery that could make you clutch your pearls. Lets start with Emily Blunt, being that she was on The Devil Wears Prada, I always expect her to dress in all the couture and just slay the carpets, and what do she do, she slays! She wore a very beautiful gown by Roberto Cavalli, and it so gorgeous. She looked so feminine and elegant, not that she doesn’t normally look feminine, she looked like a princess. I love this color on her, its a very seasonal color, and on trend right now. I really like the hem of her dress, as well as the fitting. Kaley Cuoco was styled by one of my favorite stylist Brad Goreski, who styles another favorite Sarah Hyland, Kaley dawned Marchesa in a sheer illusion gown with little detailing, she looked like a fairy tale, gliding the carpet, I loved this look on her. Another favorite was Julie Bowen who wore a gown by J.Mendel, and she looked super sexy, I loved the sheer paneling, and the intricate design detailing along her dress she looked amazing. And lastly, the star, the queen Taraji P. Henson, she was the best dressed on the entire Red Carpet. She wore a mauve embroidered gown by Reem Acra, and she werked!! Everything that she wore I loved the hair, dress, and jewels, she was just perfect. She won for Hidden Figures, which was an amazing, empowering movie for women and anyone, actually. Her speech was so inspirational and I felt every word that came out of this queens mouth, but staying on the topic of fashion. I think…I know she was best dressed, she showed a great amount of skin, everything fit perfectly. I loved everything about her and a style choice, PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT!!

Well that’s all for me and my opinion on last nights SAG awards best dressed. If you enjoyed be sure to “LIKE” this post. Did you see the awards? who were your favorites? Did you love Taraji P Henson Reem Acra gown? Tell me who was your favorite in the comments.

The Oscars 2016| Best Dressed

Hi Loves,

The Oscars is the most prestigious award show that I will wait and prepare for, an entire year. Chris Rock, one of my favorite comedians ever, hosted the show and #shutthehousedown. Of course with all the #oscarssowhite drama that surrounded the award show, Chris based jokes throughout the show on that controversy, but also shed light on the truth of race, fairness, and equality amongst us all, but come on this is Chris Rock, so it was some FUN.

Well this was maybe the best year of movies….. LEO I 💘 YOU, Congrats on the WIN. Now, that that’s out the way, onto a long list of gorgeous best dresses ladies. There were so many great looks, and I’m here to talk about the best.

The Dior Ladies:

Jennifer Lawrence aka J. Law and Charlize Theron, both stunned in Dior. Charlize wore a plunging Red Dior Gown, that showed a beautiful hour glass figure, she looked so beautiful and even though I kind of expected her to wear Dior, since she is the face of well as JLaw, but this is so gorgeous she was simply perfection. JLaw did plunging, and she was definitely different this year because, she usually choose a color that fits onto the red carpet but thus color was definitely more daring. Either way they both STUNNED.

Ladies in White:

Alot of Ladies stunned in White on the Oscars red carpet. Let me start with Olivia Wilde in Valentino, she looked so gorgeous, she kept the trend,  slayying with the long train & plunging neckline. I loved her look. Next, Rooney Mara in Givenchy. I’m so used to Rooney in very dark tones, like “girl with the dragon tattoo” style, but she looked like a vision in white. Kerry Washington stunned in Altier Versace. She rocked leather at the top and chiffon at the bottom, so I would say that her outfit was a bit cutting edge, but I thought she rocked it. Last but never least, Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell. Gaga looked so sleek and stunning when she hit the red carpet with fiance Taylor Kinney. I mean the jumpsuit kind of went off into a dress, so it played with illusion. I loved that it was simple and structured. Lady Gaga looked wonderful, and she is definitely Best Dressed.

Emerald Stunners:

Rachel McAdams & Saoirse Ronan looked gorgeous in Green. Rachel wore August Getty Altier and Saoirse wore Green Calvin Klien. They both were gorgeous and nominees at the Oscars, Brooklyn and Spotlight was 2 of my favorite movies this season. I loved both of their look, Saoirse rocked Green, to represent Ireland, and I think she did her Country Proud, as she made everyone. Rachel looked so FETCH (if you get it comment, and I love you forever). Rachel McAdams had the “Jolie Leg moment” and so simple gown, but it was literally the best dress. I loved this look, she is effortlessly stunning, which I think is the way she dress. She really doesn’t have to do much to look beautiful, BEST DRESSED.

Metallic Stunners:

Metallic seemed to be a trend at the Oscars Red Carpet, and 3 ladies got this trend right. Naomie Watts in Armani Privé, Margo Robbie in Tom Ford, and Kate Winslet in Ralph Lauren. Starting with Naomie Watts, I love her style, she gets it right all the time, her style is so chic and “old hollywood glamour” but with a modern twist. I think she wore a sleeveless yellow gown last year to the award show, and dressed it with the best necklace possible. Naomie knows how to accessorize, and play up the red carpet, which is why she’s in my top favorites. Next, Margo Robbie in Tom Ford. I love this dress, it’s almost like a lowkey tuxedo dress, and she looked remarkable. I’ve loved Margo Robbie since she starred with the Oscar winning Leo DiCaprio ( I 💘 saying that) in Wolf of Wall Street, which was nominated last year. She looked incredible and rocked the carpet in her metallic gown. Lastly, the gorgeous Kate Winslet, Kate has been a favorite of mine since the beginning, she played bad & good, she such a versatile actress and so is her style. Kate looked so sleek and Sexy in her Ralph Lauren gown, I knew she would wear Ralph, but this style came in surprise. Kate usually does the princess gowns with the sleek bun, but this year she had the bombshell hair, with that metallic train length gown. I Loved it so much.

Embellished Queens:

When it comes to Red Carpet season, I usually look for Cate Blanchett and Emily Blunt to Slay the carpet, and to me they never get it wrong. Cate is my Queen of everything Fashion, Beauty, and Film, I absolutely loved Cate’s embellished Armani gown. She brung a fairy tale, “Elf Queen” Couture look to the carpet and is probably my #1 Best Dressed. I know she’s the face of Givenchy, which I thought she was going to wear, so this was different, not saying she haven’t worn Armani before, but I loved that I was wrong about the Givenchy Pick. Now, I think I will not forget Emily ever, since she starred in the biggest fashion movie, “The Devil Wears Prada”and her name was Emily in the movie. Emily Blunt has always stunned on the carpet, she always looks the most comfortable, the most chic, she plays with looks and colors, and manages to pull together the best look ever. She is and always be my favorite actress/style star.

Vibrant Stars:

Alicia Vikander and Brie Larson are fairly new to Red Carpet season, and they are already pros. Alicia wore Louis Vuitton and Brie wore Gucci. Both nominees were great in their movies “The Danish Girl” and “Room” (which were both great movies, if you haven’t seen it, you should, I promise they are not a waste of time.) Alicia has been killing the carpet and slaying covers of every major fashion magazine. When she walked the carpet in that sleeveless yellow gown, all I could say was “FAB-U-LOUS” I loved her look and whether people compare her to Belle or not, she’s on best dressed list. Next, Brie Larson is one of my favorite newcomers, she has this Bohemian/ Grecian vibe to her, she’s very chill and laid back, I really love her already personality wise, Style wise I adore her. Brie has killed dress after dress, and looked amazing each time. She won for lead actress and she wins again for best dressed.

Well, thats it guys, I love making and sharing my Best Dressed list. Did you watch the Oscars? Did you watch Red Carpet? Who was your best dressed & what was your favorite moment at the Oscars? Were you chanting for Leo DiCaprio to win like I was? If you did let me know in the comments below, also let me know if you like this post.

Golden Globes 2016: Best Dressed

Hi Lovelies,

This years Golden Globes was done right. Being that my favorite outspoken Brit Ricky Gervais hosted, he set the bar really high( cue uncomfortable faces).

The Golden Globes Red Carpet took place hours before, and as every star walked the red carpet my smile got wider & wider (reaching the Grinch level smile). It seemed the theme for the Golden globes were flesh tones and saturated tones. I couldn’t wait to see my favorite stars walk the carpet and now, let’s talk favorite looks.jennifer-lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence or (cuz were cool like that) stunned in another red on red carpet look. She looked ravishing in Red, DIOR. Jennifer has to be one of my favorite looks, because she is so timeless, and elegant, even though I put my best bet she was going to wear Dior, she always wear it in a way I couldn’t see an other star wearing. She won for lead actress in her nominated David O, Russell film Joy ( which was amazing BTW) she won my heart with this look.

Cate Blanchett is a timeless beauty, she is so Regal and gorgeous, elegant, and I haven’t even gotten to the dress. Givenchy posted a tease on Instagram during Countdown to the Red carpet, and I knew Care Blanchett would wear this. Being she is the face of Givenchy, she wore this look GORGEOUSLY. If any other star would have worn this I probably wouldn’t like this look, but because this look is fit for a Queen, Cate ROCKED IT.

Lily James & Laverne Cox, were gorgeous women in white. Lily played Cinderella, and she continues the Princess theme. Lily James looked elegant in Marchesa. When she walked the red carpet my jaw dropped, thats how stunning she looked. I think Laverne were one of the few stars who arrived early on the carpet, and she did not dissapoint. Laverne stunned in Elizabeth Kennedy, she looked like a Grecian goddess, and definitely on the list for BEST DRESSED.

Emelia Clarke wore Valentino on the red carpet. I mean she was my vision of dark princess. She did the caped trend, which I been in love with since Gwyneth Paltrow and Lupita Nyong’o did it. Emelia looked so beautiful and stands in my top 5 best dressed.

These ravinshing women carried the Wine colored trend fiercely. Zendaya, Olivia Wilde, and Kate Bosworth looked amazing. Zendaya, rocked a tiered Marchesa Gown. Zendaya is a style star, when she walked the red carpet, she simply looked so Gorgeous. Kate Bosworth ravished in Dolce & Gabbana, and Olivia rocked a 70’s styled gown by Michael More Collection, I mean can we say GORGEOUS!!

Amy Adams stunned in Versace. Amy wore an embellished Orange gown and it was so saturated, and vibrant it was the only dress to stand out to me. Amy is usually on best dressed for me, but this has to be one of my favorite gowns she worn so far.

Well, that concludes my best dressed list, hope you enjoyed it, of you did like this post. Did you guys see the red carpet or Golden Globes 2016?Who was your favorite, are they on my list? Tell me in the comments.

Looking back brings back memories, I cant wait to see Red Carpet 2016. Be sure to like this post and comment whos your favorite red carpet moment. ❤❤

Hi Lovelies,

Well its the biggest time of the season, which is Fashion Week, and while I could talk a book about my favorite designers to see, I’m focusing on one special favorite, Zac Posen. Zac Posen has shown his skill at designing for the best such as; Rihanna, Naomi Campbell, Coco Rocha, and many more. This season I think Zac had California on the brain. Zac Posen’s Ready to Wear 2016 Collection was perfection.

• The Runway was filled with flowy dresses, and laid back womenwear suits. I really loved the palm tree print throughout the collection, along with the hints of blues and pinks. This has to be my favorite collection by Zac Posen, because the collection is just effortlessly Polished, which is very simple yet wearable for your everyday girl.

Hope you enjoyed my post, I will definitely be posting again, being that its Fashion Week, so keep a look out. Also, tell me which designer you’re excited to see this seaaon?
