Burnt Orange Eye Look | Ft. PR Dirty Girl Cosmetics

Hi Loves!

When it comes to beauty, I think enough is never really “enough” and when the opportunity comes to try a new brand or product, I’m quick to take up the offer. Most recently I got the chance to test Dirty Girl Cosmetics, and if you haven’t heard here’s a little insight. Dirty Girl Cosmetics was started in 2014, This brand is associated with the appreciation of being a confident women, as well as owning independence above all standards.

I got the chance to reach out to the company and propose a collaboration, because why not? Also, A beauty company on empowering women, yes Please!  I was sent what I like to call “heavens’ beauty package” which consist of Contour palettes, 2 eyeshadow palettes, and etc. After talking to myself like a psycho, and taking a ton of pics for my Instagram stories, I got down to swatching all the items in the package. So, with that being said, lets get into it!

The Contour palette contains 2 highlighter shades, 3 Contour shades, and 3 Concealers. This palette is a powder base palette, which mean there is some fall out.

The shades in the palette are very smooth, and creamy application. When I used the highlighter shades they were so buttery. The shades are buildable in both the contours and concear, but because they are a powder form, they can look a little chalky. Here are the swatches, the highlighters come in a white champagne shade (first) and the other is almost a golden shade. They are both beautiful, I think that the feeling is very high quality, almost like Profusion or Stila. Overall while the palette has some misses, I will use it again, even if that means using it with other products.

The Cream Concealer palette I got ranged in 6 shades from the coolest of white, to a warm tone brown. This has to be my favorite face palette. The palette had full coverage and was able to blend in perfect, Thank God! When I originally opened the palette I thought the shades doesn’t have much of a range, Its going to ruin my foundation, but once I used it there was no turning back. I love these shades they are super rich’ and build-able, I think a little goes a lonnnggggg way.

Lastly, are the eyeshadow palettes, I recieved 2 one by the brand itself, and the other was beauty creations. Now, when it comes to eyeshadows, I think every brand is different, but in ways are similar. I tried both palettes, and lets start with Beauty Creations. Beauty Creations Nudes palette, contained 12 shades w/ 8 shimmer shades 4 matte shades. I loved the shimmer shades, they contain glitter, but who doesn’t mind a little extra shimmer. When I swatched the shades the shimmer shades seem more pigment, and more of a velvet touch, which feels really nice. I didn’t really care for the matte shades that much, they didn’t really build, they were really chalky, but when it comes to eyeshadows, they can’t all be winners. Even though the matte shades were a bit of a miss, the shimmer shades could do no wrong. The next palette was the Dirty Girl Cosmetics Blush Nudes palette, which contained the same amount of shimmer shades and mattes. I tried this palette w/wo  a primer to see would it appear more vibrant than what was appearing on my arm, and the shades were a little disappointing. I do like some of the shimmer shades; like the more rose-y and champagne shades, but the darker the shades, the more chalky the shades appeared. I can see myself using these palettes again, just for certain shimmer shades, But that’s just my opinion, Beauty Gurus test them for yourself and tell me if you have a different opinion.

My First Wig | Wig Review

Hi Lovelies!!

From Lil Kim to every Drag Queen in Herstory, wigs are a reoccurring theme of popculture. For a while now, I have gone doing my makeup looks with my natural hair, just because, I was more comfortable, but then I got to thinking, In order for things to stand out, I need to get out of my comfort zone. So what is it about Wigs that’s so intriguing?

I had the wonderful opportunity of trying my first wig, and it felt amazing, when I tried on the wig, It was like my truest self had awaken. This lovely wig from Wigfactorydirect, and Rene, who is the owner of this amazing company, handmakes the products on the website. The wig I’m wearing is a Synthetic lace front, in this Salmon Pink color. I absolutely adore this wig, Its a really nice shade of pink, nothing crazy, I also like the length, Now I was prepared to shop it half that length, but then I thought, What would Beyonce do?

For a synthetic wig, it almost felt like a blend, it was naturally sot, and didn’t shed like a dog. The only thing is be prepared to have a ton of neck strength, because of the bundles, it can be a little heavy at times. This wig is $50 which for the quality, is not bad at all.

My first experience wearing a wig was so much fun, and totally amps up my look, Don’t you think? But, the biggest question, is am I going to start wearing wigs regularly? HELL YEAH!! I would love to try more shades, more styles, all for the thrill.

WHEN Sheet Mask Review | Collection

Holla, My Loves!!

My favorite things to do on my days off, other than drink a ton of coffee & watch reruns of Stranger Things, is relax with a nice facial mask. I have tried every facial mask from clay, to bubble, but one mask that I gravitate to time and time again is the sheet mask. While some mask, seem to extract all the oils, and moisture out my face, sheet mask calms any redness I have on my face, while locking in the moisture.

When facial mask is falling into its own category of developing a collection of mask that will take care of any problematic issue, which with skin is A L O T! When has a product line, of 5 mask meant to change the skin fit for the women on the go. Lets talk about each one, shall we.

  • 10 pm | A mask meant for tired skin
  • Glamour Base | The mask for the perfect primer base, before your makeup routine, begins ( Contains Collagen and peptides to help boost the skin)
  • Snow Magic |Brightening effects to give you a natural highlight and glow
  • Travel Mate | Rejuvenating, perfect for the women who rushes out the door]
  • The Last Choice | Hydrating, When you need a perk of moisture and skin needs a drink of water

Each mask contains a different ingredient that helps boost, tone, moisturize, and firm the skin in a matter of minutes. Ingredients like Chamomile, Aloe Vera, Vitamin B3, etc; things that help the skin to process all those last minute runs, and meetings. The bio cellulose that is held within every sheet mask is able to hold 10x more moisture than any other sheet mask, which allows the mask not to dry as fast. Is that SHADE towards other brands? No, but other brands take notes.

I really like all the mask, the one in particular is the Snow Magic, simply because of its brightening affects. I have had a few dark marks, here and there, skincare has become a priority, keeping it healthy inside and out has changed my views on what products to use and how much I’m willing to spend. The Snow Magic sheet mask, has really great brightening affects, not that it changes your appearance or anything but the fact that it gives me a glow, and moisturizes the areas that are dead dry, I couldn’t stop using it.
