Simply Simplify your Skincare w/Simplicity Skincare’s Dual Pump Reversal Protection Complex | Review

Hi Lovelies,

Time flies, it was just the beginning of June and soon I’ll be back in class cue anxiety

Summer is literally the most debatable season of them all, it super relaxing but,  with the sun; hot weather it really takes a toll on your skin, which can have you spending a summers vacation on skin products. In the weeks of being on break I have been trying this new skincare product that claims to put all other products to rest.

I’ve partnered with Brandbacker x Simplicity Skincare to test and review Simplicitys’ dual pump skin renewal   Reversal Protection Complex, and here’s my honest opinion.

I tried the Simplicity dual pump for 2 weeks ruling out all my other skincare products, but before here’s a little information on Simplicity:

1500491648363

So how did the idea for Simplicity come about? One day, while at my Esthetician, I was admiring her skin. When I asked her what she used, she told me a very expensive eye cream all over her face and neck! Why? Because effective eye creams are highly concentrated and they do a great many things, from promoting cellular repair to increasing firmness to reducing wrinkles to fighting inflammation. Then I got to thinking wouldn’t it be great to have one cream that could do it all and have it be coupled with a serum that was equally as effective? I started talking to my girlfriends about it and the answer was a resounding yes! Hence the birth of Simplicity Skincare. My Reversal Protection Complex, which is derived by combining my Superior Serum with Moisture to give your skin all it deserves. I have been using it over a year and the results have been amazing!

So Simplicitys’ Dual Pump skincare comes with a dual sided pump, with one side being a light weight serum and the other a moisturizer. The serum contains Jojoba OIl, Aloe Vera, witch hazel, and vitamin E, free of phosphates, and Alcohol. The Moisturizer contains Vitamin B5, Aloe, grapeseed oil, primrose, and chamomile.

Trying the dual pump w/o any other product feels super natural, because its a serum and moisturizer in one, it was less time consuming and within a day I could feel a  difference in my skin. I used both in the morning/night after washing my face. The feel of the formulas is super light weight and the consistency doesn’t feel oily, or sticky. Its said to be a anti aging product, which doesn’t just cover aging, the ingredients also target acne, break outs, and blemishes, which I am constantly dealing with.

Since I’ve been using it, my skin feels like it’s being protected from the sun rays, which is a huge factor in aging skin, and a few fine lines on my forehead are beginning to diminish. I feel like if I was to use the rest of this product in a month or 2, I will get the results I’m looking for, but so far so good.

I hope you enjoyed my post on the Simplicity Skincare dual pump Reversal Protection Complex, be sure to “Like” this post, and tell me if you’ve tried it.

Studio Gear Skin Perfecting Face Primer

studiogear01

Hi Lovelies,

Finally 2017, a year of new beginnings, and a chance to step out of my comfort zone. I think there’s no better way then starting off the new year with a beauty review with a brand that I have grown to love.

I have been using Studio Gear Cosmetics for over 2 years, and it seems every year their products get better and better, one being there new skin perfecting face primer. I have been using this primer for a little over month and already it’s half gone.

studiogear-22

When it comes to my makeup routine it never required the use of primers, but this primer has changed my outlook on primers. The prime objective skin primer, I can say that its comparable to the ELF mineral based primer. The skin perfecting primer is very light to the touch, and when applied to the face it has an airy like feel_which is good.

The perfecting primer contains a retinol that promotes cell turnover that decreases the appearance wrinkles and fine lines, it also has a milk protein that protects the skin from environmental toxins. Using the facial primer before I do my makeup, it feels like I used nothing, so that’s definitely a pro, it holds my makeup in place its not a heavy product so that’s also AMAzing.

studiogear26

I feel after using this it’s pretty close to both ELF and Urban Decay’s facial primers, it’s very affordable, and my skin feels amazing all day, even with a full face of makeup. I really recommend this product, it acts as a high end product, and results will show a difference in primers.

Belize in you | Skincare

black-and-white

Hi Lovelies,

Winter is here and the topic of skin is a popular subject. I myself love a good skincare regimen, but with newer more prominent products coming out, my routine is constantly changing. When it comes to my skin its normally cleanse, tone, serum, and moisturize, so when I heard about Belize in you skincare I couldn’t wait to add them into my routine.

b+w 2.png

Belize in you Marine and Body Care is a health/beauty company that uses all natural and raw materials for the Caribbean waters and Mayan mountains of Belize.

When I got contacted through pr agents to try a few items, I was excited yet hesitant, I literally had an entire conversation with myself, before replying back. When you get used to the products that you use daily, it kind of a switch up when you have to change it, but anyways I chose a toner and serum, just to see what their products can offer to my skin.

 black and white 3.png

I got the Marine mineral skin toner and the Rooibos tea antioxidant facial serum. Lets talk about the marine toner, the toner looks very much high end skin care, as a matter of fact the cost is pretty much high end, it retails for $55. The product also is 4 fl oz, so your getting a ton of product for what your’e paying. After doing a morning and night routine, I can see a bit of a difference, I’ve used this for about a month, and my skin feels very refreshed and hydrated, some toners have that drying effect on the skin and with the winter here, dry weather and dry skin are both negative factors. The Marine mineral skin toner has ingredients of water, seaweed extract, Phenoxyethanol, which I’m sure is a long word for natural..I guess, this toner is half gone I really enjoy using it, its lightweight, the only thing that that I can say negative is that the pump shoots out to much product, which is really wasteful, a little product goes a long ways.

bandw4.png

The next product I tried was the Rooibos Tea antioxidant facial serum, I was really excited to try this serum, this retails for $88, this serum is made of water (aqua), Red tea, phenoxyethanol, and Hyaluronic Acid. I really love this serum, its an antioxidant which is great to help pull toxins from the skin after cleansing your face, its really light, and liquid-y, you only need about 2 pumps, because its easy to disperse over your entire face. The Rooibos tea serum, is very nice, its wet on the face, but once it dries it gives the feeling  a tight mask. The serum is more easy to use than the toner, you can control how much you want to use, which is really nice.

I feel after using both in my skin  routine, has been a great addition, my skin feels very hydrated, and firm. I usually have a problem with scaring,  but they do seem a tad lighter, which is a bonus, but most of all it doesn’t dry out the skin.

I hope you enjoyed my review/post on Belize in  you skin care. What’s your favorite toner? Have you heard of Belize in you skincare? Would you be willing to give it a try? Let me know in the comments below.

HASK | Chai Seed Oil

chai-seed1

Hi Lovelies,

For the longest, I have been a huge fan of the Hask hair brand, and trying their variety of hair collections makes me more and more excited for upcoming products. When I got the “okay” to try the new Chai Seed Oil shampoo and condition, I was so excited.

I have tried numerous Hask hair products that dealt with numerous hair factors from damaged hair to infusing healthy hair, the Chai Seed Oil was the ultimate addition. The Chai Seed Oil is meant to bring natural volume after wash and condition. Made with, Chai seeds cultivated in South America, Chai Seed Oil is a plant enriched with proteins, antioxidants, and Omega-3’s to give your hair a hydra-boost while washing. This collections is free of sulfate and parabens, and all drying alcohols, which cause breakage and weak hair.

chaiseed3

I have used the Chai Seed Oil duo twice in a month, and my hair feels super soft, though my hair is shorter now, my hair feels healthy and super light. I haven’t had to straighten it as much, due to how many antioxidants and vitamins are infused in my hair.

I love using this duo, the shampoo/conditioner duo is very light, because the ingredients are natural, it doesn’t feel like its weighing my hair down. The seed oil duo smells so good, *emphasis on the good*  I mean, on the record of smelling nearly all the collections sent my way, it doesn’t compare, but none the less it still smells pretty awesome.

chaiseed2

Overall, I highly recommend the Chai Seed oil, if you love big jersey hair, okay maybe that a tad dramatic, but if you love movement, and soft luscious locks, this is the perfect duo. You can find Hask at Target, Ulta, and any drugstore (Walgreens, Rite Aid etc).

REVIEW: Valentia Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer

2016-09-03-17-09-18[1]

The Product was sent to be reviewed, by Valentia x Brandbacker , all opinions are my own.

Hi Lovelies,

Today I’ll be giving my full, honest review on the Valentia Pure Glow Moisturizer, which was fun to finally get to try. For the past week I have been trying the moisturizing cream and trust me there is nothing but PRAISE for this product.

2016-09-03-17-11-23[1]

The Valentia Pure Glow moisturizer is an absorbent cream that is meant to provide all day hydration, also provides more repairs for the skin. The moisturizer protects the skin and is formulated with all natural ingredients.

I have tried Valentia products in the past, and have been pleased before, but as time goes by you kind of grow bored of using the same skin care products and need newer things ( you know what I mean). Using the new Valentia Pure glow has really been effective for the past week, supporting the skin by:

  • Lightening Dark spots
  • Restoring Skin radiance
  • Evening skintone
  • Diminish Fine Lines
  • Provide all day hydration

It is free of toxins and paraben(free) which is the natural process of repairing the skin without damaging or adding additional toxins into the skin. I loved using the moisturizing cream, the consistency on the skin felt very nice, it wasn’t at all thick; or to oily for my skin. Providing all day moisture to my skin made it easy to go through the day without wearing off.

Using this product for the week gave me a plump skin, and skin elasticity, which is a great look for the summer. The organic skin product has to be on the list of favorites for my summer skincare. Now, are my dark marks gone, of course not…its only been a week, but with time I think that they will lightened .

Overall the product was great, do I recommend this?? YAASSS, This is a really great product that takes time, but the longer you use it, the more you will see results.

If you want to purchase this product (here are the links below) The Price is $56 USD.

Hask Review | Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection + Charcoal Purifying Hair Care

2016-05-09-16-24-09

Hi Lovelies,

So I was asked to review 2 of hask product collection, one was the Kalahari Melon Color Treatment and the other was the Charcoal Purifying Collection ( which I read reviews on and was super excited to try). Both collections came with a shampoo, conditioner, deep Conditioner and as a bonus 2 Hask brushes.

2016-05-09-16-26-11

Lets start with the Kalahari Melon Color Treatment Shampoo/Conditioner. I absolutely loved the combination, the Shampoo came out very thick, so I only needed a little, which goes a long way. The Shampoo is ment to replenish color, without damaging your hair, now I don’t color my hair, but even without color, my hair still ended up very soft, and had plenty of volume. I thought that the shampoo worked well with the conditioner, considering the conditioner was very light, so it was a great combo, and worked well with my hair. The smell is so good, it has natural ingredients that is meant to protect your hair. I loved it!!

2016-05-09-16-27-30

Next, the Charcoal Purifying Shampoo/Conditioner. Now, this I have heard of, I looked on Youtube and the reviews were great, so when I got the chance, I literally jumped on it. The shampoo does not turn your hair black (like I thought), it smells of citrus, it’s really light on my hair, and if you want a thorough wash, this would be the perfect product. The conditioner was a great detangler. The combination of shampoo/conditoner was great, it lathers well, my hair remains strong as well as, soft with a ton of volume.

2016-05-09-16-20-37

2016-05-09-16-18-49

Between the two I have to say, I love the charcoal Purifying Collection. It was literally the best for my hair. The smell of citrus, and the lather it produces is amazing. I love this product.

2016-05-09-16-29-44

The hask Kalahari Melon oil is one of my favorites of hair oils. After blowdrying my hair using this makes life so much easier. The oil gives my hair a great texture, and creates volume while putting heat to my hair. This oil provides protection against heat, which is a plus considering I flat iron my hair every other week. ( on low, no damage, promise!!).

2016-05-09-16-33-17

The next thing is 2 deep Conditioners, one from the Kalahari Collection and the other from the Charcoal Purifying Collection. The charcoal deep conditioner works wonders, it provides a lot of moisture, and nutrients in the process of texturizing my hair. It works really well to put it in before using the actual conditioner, using this process makes your hair 10× softer. The same goes for the Kalahari deep condition, I really didn’t see a difference, except for the smells, which actually made my hair smell like a Lush bathbomb. Anyways, both of these deep conditioners worked well, they both seem to work better after shampooing and before using the actual conditioner, otherwise your hair is more likely to come out sticky, and a little stiff.

2016-05-09-16-37-56

Lastly, I got 2 hair brushes that came with each collection. My favorite one has to be the brush with the pineapple, I mean it reminds me of Summer.

Here are the links to both Hask Collection:

Well that’s my review, I hope you enjoyed it, this was literally the most fun post to try. “comment” below what’s your favorite hair products, and if you’ve tried Hask products, which is your favorite collection?
