Essence Makeup | First Impressions + Review

Beauty on a budget, yes please! I always go back and forth on luxury items and drugstore beauty, but the thing is beauty does not have to be expensive to work.

Essence Beauty has been on the beauty scene for a while now and from looking at beauty reviews from Tati and Laura Lee raving about the products, I finally broke down and tried some of their products. These samples are *PR so my opinions are all my own.

Lets talk highlight, I am a huge fan of glowing, but aren’t we all, the essence pure nude highlighter is a baked highlighter, which I like more for wearing daily because it gives you a subtle glow, but you still are LIT for the Gods. This highlighter is completely build-able and it doesn’t look cake-y when you’re building on the layers. I got the shade 10 ( be my highlight) which is a very beautiful golden champagne shade, this is definitely gorgeous for the summer, over your bronzer, just go crazy with it. This highlighter retails for $4.49 USD I mean SOLD

I love drawing attention to my eyes, and I’m not completely a “lash girl” ( only for pictures) but bold lashes are my go to. Essences’ “I Love Extreme crazy Volume” mascara, if you love the separated lash look, this is definitely the mascara that you want to get. I have been using this for the past week, and the compliments are non stop. This mascara has a long applicator which allows to get every lash evenly, the bristles are separated evenly as well, so they don’t clunk at all. This mascara pacts on the volume and gives you that full of lashes look.

I received 2 liquid lipsticks and a creme lipstick, which I’m so glad they sent a nude shade because, that’s literally all I wear in the summer. As a girl who absolutely Loves liquid lipsticks, I have mixed feelings about these products, I got the shades 04 (Showoff) which is a very pigmented Coral red tone & 06 (making a statement) which is a mauve-y pinkish shade. I know that liquid lipsticks can be defined in a ton of ways, but I think of liquid lipsticks as a matte finish, but they are both pigmented shades, and the shades I received were muted which is gorgeous, they remind me a little of the L”Oreal lip paints, which is great. The applicator is short, and comes with a flat doe foot applicator, which I’m used to longer ones, but I can get used to this, perfect for on the go. I really love the shades actually, I just think that calling it “liquid lipsticks” is a little misleading, I think that this product leans towards melted lipsticks or lip paints. None the less the shades are gorgeous and I will definitely more in the future.

Top ( Make a Statement) Bottom ( Show Off)

If you tried this product tell me what you think about it?

I love pampering myself with mani/pedis, especially during the Spring/Summer because all the bright shades can be worn. I’ve tried essence’s nail polish before and talk about a small quantity that packs a punch.  The nail shade I’m wearing is “Club Hopper” which is a very Teal ( blue green) shade and It is so beautiful, The shade with one coat is gorgeous, a second just makes it pop. I really love the shade it’s super pigmented and very wearable in the spring season.

Well that’s all for my mini haul/ first Impressions, WDYT?  Have you tried Essence Cosmetics? Did you like any of the products shown in the post? Let me know in the comments. Happy Easter

Beauty Haul_ BeautySpin

pr samples provided by Beautyspin, all opinions are my own.

Hi Lovelies,

So recently I have been getting my hands on alot of new products, and this haul is definitely one where I got to try brands I completely don’t buy, but I’m here to tell you if the products were a total Bye or Buy.

First product I was excited to try was the Oriflame Volare Perfume. I have heard of the perfume line before, but they don’t typically sell it in the US. This perfume is so good, it smells really nice, its long lasting in scent, it smells like when you buy something brand new and a mixture of baby powder. Anyways this is definitely a BUY!

2016-04-22-10-48-19Next product I got were 2 Lipshades, the first is a matte color in the shade “Flamingo”. Lets talk about that one first, I have been living for the matte shades and this color was so amazing. First the color is very pigmented its very riche in color. I love this shade,Bourjois is known for having very pigmented shades so I was very excited to try it. It looks like a cross over of red and hot pink, and the swatch shown is just as pretty on the lips. This shade is definitely a BUY! The next color however is not the Bourjois shade “Pinking about it” which is great. The color is more of a moisturizer and very light on the lips, if you’re into Maybelline’s Whisper shades then you’ll love this shade, but for me this was not a Buy it was a “Girl Buy.”

Well that’s all, I hope you enjoyed my Beauty post, be sure to Like and comment telling me your favorite summer trend.( also, If you haven’t heard, I have a 20% off code for MAKE beauty. If you use the code *MAKEYOURSELF you have 20%off your entire purchase, and it lasts until the end of the month. Enjoy!!

PS. What’s your favorite trend from Coachella?

#Makeyourself Beauty Review

The Following Products are provided by Brandbacker for Review, all opinions are my own.ENJOY!

HI Lovelies,

So recently I was excepted to try the Make Beauty Samples which I recieved an eyeshadow in the shade (Alabaster) and the Lipstick shade ( Taffy).

First Impressions:

The Samples are very cute. I mean come on the packaging is compelling on its own. I think that Bold Words, can catch my attention in any given moment. As for the Make products itself, lets start with the eyeshadow, the color Alabaster is very pigmented, it looks great as a neutral tone. I find that this is not a particular color to use daily, but it serves as a great base shadow. The Lipstick is a very pigmented shade as well. The shade Taffy, looks like almost a peach tone. Its very nice, and the shade is not far away from my natural lipcolor, so it was sort of a playful nude.

Make Eyeshadow – Alabaster

Highly Pigmented

Great Coverage

Beautiful Color

Although greatly pigmented, the color shows up lighter on the eyes than when I swatched it.

Make Lipstick- Taffy

Hi Loves,

Rachel Zoe debuted her collection at fashion Week, and her fashion line was nothing short of Amazing!! Rachel brought bohemiam, Romantic sophistication to the runway.
In hencing the inspiration from late 70’s and 80’s supermodels. The collection showed tons of mini dresses, and fringe-styled suit jackets. I loved the detail work of every piece, from the embellishments to the swaying fringe, to the saturated colors, Rachel Zoe did an amazing job with this collection.
