It’s has been nearly a month since I’ve done any kind of post, but in defense I have been working on purchasing a camera, to give you better photos, and cross over to that professional lifestyle. I have a ton of PR, and I have been buying a ton of products that I want to share, I will try and post everything on time….I’ll Try… But enough stalling, Let’s get into this blog.
I have tried a ton of liquid lipsticks whether they’re Matte finishes, or glosses and normally I end up highly intrigued and buy everything, not like a normal person, so when I saw the lip products in Victoria Secret, literally flipped out. We all know Victoria Secret for being the “Sexy lingerie store” and Adriana Lima SWOON! But now they have descent makeup.
Let’s start by talking about these lip glosses, I didn’t get a chance to swatch these in the store I brought these simply based off outside appearance. The packaging is beautiful and screams Spring, and not only that they really read as luxury products. When I swatched these shades they were a little disappointing, they were really transparent and light, but the color shine shades were more pigmented than the rest. I did like the feel of it on my lips, they weren’t tacky when applying it, though it takes about 40 applications to get the color on the outside it still is pretty and good if you don’t want dry lips.
The Velvet matte shades are very pigmented, they show up clear as day. I like that they are not overly drying and still has sort of, a shine underneath. I really should have gotten more of these shades, because they are super pretty, they apply nicely, they don’t tug or pull on the lips. The only thing about the velvet matte shades is that when you dip the wand in from application, they have a clump of product at the tip, but that’s the only nit- picky thing I have with these.
( From Top to Bottom)
Lip Color Gloss:
Escape ( light lilac w/ Pink undertone)
Paradise ( Hot Pink)
Peek a Boo ( Fair Nude)
Charmed ( Nude w/ Red undertone)
Impulsive ( Red Shade w/ Pink undertone)
Scandalous ( Purple w/ Pink undertone)
Lastly is the Lip plumpers, I brought 2 of the same kind, uhhhhh!!!! Too Faced cosmetics has a lip plumper and I wanted to see how this compares to the Too faced lip plumper which was $22 BTW, the Victoria Secret lip plumper was half that price. I really like this lip plumper it doesn’t give you a plumped pout, but it does add a ton of gloss and shine, it’s infused with vitamin E, which is good for moisture. I’m glad I purchased 2 because traveling and being on the go causes dry lips, and this will help a ton.
I hope you enjoyed this little haul/ swatch post, I will definitely be posting more. If you enjoyed this post be sure to “LIKE” this post and tell me if you like the Victoria Secret makeup? Have you tried it? What’s your favorite shade in this post, if any? Let me know in the comments?
So the most prestigious of award shows came on Sunday night, The Oscars, which was hosted by another great late night host Jimmy Kimmel. This award season has been the year of Late Night hosts, Jimmy Fallon, Kimmel and James Corden all have hosted the biggest award shows this year, and have been amazing, and while I would love to discuss the best moments of last nights show, I will only be discussing fashion, before it get to long of a post. LOL
Now, I love nothing more than talking about my favorite stars and what their wearing, so lets begin!!
“Women in White”
I love a woman in white, it usually looks so beautiful against the red carpet, and normally gets best dressed..so it’s no surprise these lovely ladies would make it on the list. Naomie Harris, Chrissy Teigen, Karlie Kloss, and more all dawned white gowns, but not only that they Chrissy, Karlie, and Darby all had a long “caped shoulder” design on their gowns, now I loved it, It was so inventive, and reminded me a little of Gwenyth Paltrow in Tom Ford and Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren. My favorite out of them all was probably Darby Stanchfield in Georges Chakra, the ruffle pattern at the bottom and along the shoulder was just so gorgeous, and her hair looked amazing with minimal jewels. I just loved her look so amazing.
“Ladies in Red”
Viola Davis and Ruth Negga both looked stunning in red. Viola Davis who wore Armani, looked amazing, she also debuted a sassy short cut, I really loved her look, gown after gown all award season she has looked her best and after winning for her role in fences she is my leading lady, I will now be looking for her to show up every award season, to WOW us with her powerful presence. Ruth Negga wore Valentino for the second time I’m really starting to think she’s the face for the designer brand. ” One time, STUN me < two time SLAY MY LIFE” she absolutely looked so beautiful and she is really winning me over with her beauty. I really love red on red, a lot of people think you can get drowned out, but these women obviously drowned me because LITERALLY DEAD!!LOL
The “hidden Figures” cast all looked gorgeous Taraji, Janelle, and Kirsten looked super sexy in Black. Taraji P. Henson has been killing the red carpet all season and at the Oscars she showed her award winning look. She wore a black velvet off the shoulder gown by Alberta Feretti. One gown that stole a moment was Janelle in Elie Saab, this intricate and very “complicated” detailed gown looked amazing. We know that black n white are the nominated actresses go to color, but this dress had beautiful hints of colors thanks to the jewels, she couldn’t have looked more beautiful.
“Metallic & Shimmer”
Emma Stone always kills it on the red carpet, she wore Givenchy, which took me for a loop, I thought she was going to Valentino. Emma looked so beautiful, she had so much shimmer fringe that had so much movement, and the camera caught the right light to show all the shimmer effect. Jessica Biel wore a gold Kaufman Franco gown that sparkled and shined. Jessica looked way better than the Oscar it self. I really loved both gowns but I think between the two Jessica’s dress killed it.
Well that’s all I hope you enjoyed my best dressed post. Be sure to “LIKE” this post. Did you watch the Oscars? Who was your best dressed? Who was your worst? let me know in the comments.
Today I am super excited to show you the newest collection of eye wear by Warby Parker. As a fashion blogger, I love to try the latest in everything, and having the right shades have to be a must haveaccessory in the world of fashion.
“It turns out there was a simple explanation. The eyewear industry is dominated by a single company that has been able to keep prices artificially high while reaping huge profits from consumers who have no other options.
We started Warby Parker to create an alternative.
By circumventing traditional channels, designing glasses in-house, and engaging with customers directly, we’re able to provide higher-quality, better-looking prescription eyewear at a fraction of the going price.
We believe that buying glasses should be easy and fun. It should leave you happy and good-looking, with money in your pocket.
We also believe that everyone has the right to see.
Almost one billion people worldwide lack access to glasses, which means that 15% of the world’s population cannot effectively learn or work. To help address this problem, Warby Parker partners with non-profits like VisionSpring to ensure that for every pair of glasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need.
There’s nothing complicated about it. Good eyewear, good outcome”.
Warbys’ Spring collection of eye wear and shades have captivated the essence of femininity and metal, which is a trend that has been debuting in collections of both fashion and beauty, so eye wear is just a chic additive.
I love this company, Warby Parker, makes prescription glasses that has its own unique style and also have chic styling of no other eye wear. I am proud to be one of the few first to see the entire collection, and get to share it with you guys.
Here are just a few of my personal favorites from the collection:
These are just a few from there Spring ’17 collection, I swear by this brand you will not be disappointed, these shades come in a variety of styles and colors so you will not get bored in any way. I love the collection, I like that Warby Parker eye wear, takes on modern day fashion and style, and makes it wearable and sensible to the eyes.
The Debut is TODAY, so if this post doesn’t excite you, go check out the website for yourself, WARBY PARKER and check out the entire collection of eyewear and shades.
Well that’s all for this post, I hope you enjoyed it. Be sure to “LIKE” this post and tell me in the comments if you’ve heard of Warby Parker? If you have whats your favorite pair of shades? If you liked any products from the post, which pair is your favorite?

I’m back with another beauty haul, today I am going to be reviewing 2 palettes of the Balm cosmetics, Guys! I don’t know how much I rave about this brand, probably a lot, but I was excited to try theBalmJovi palette and the Smoke palette. So, lets get into this review, SHALL WE.
I am a huge “palette girl” I love a great drugstore brand palette, I mean I’m all for luxury brands, but I don’t like being completely broke. The Balm, if I haven’t said it before, this brand has great quality products for great prices.
Okay now for the palette, the Balm Jovi palette is a full face palette that comes with 12 eye shadows , highlighter, blush, and 2 lip shades. I never used a full face palette, I buy products individually, but I feel that this palette has its advantages, I mean you’re paying for a palette that comes literally with everything, and you’re saving a ton of money. This palette retails for $20, which is a great price for the entire palette.
This palette is so amazing the eye shadows have 4 metallic shades, 4 matte, and 4 shimmer shades. All the eye shadow shades are super pigmented, they are very creamy and I love how the shades vary they have light shades, transition shades, and dark shades also they have a few warm tone colors which I live for.
I swatched all the shades and I did have to prime my arm, I never had to do that BTW, but the shadows shows up as they do in the palette. Each swatch is 2 layers so they show up better. Okay, so the shades itself are super pigmented, they all show up nicely, they are not at all chalky, they apply very smooth, and even swatch super creamy. I like that that the palette had 3 different shade finishes ( metallic, matte, and shimmer).
The consistency of this palette is very nice I think the shades are lovely so the swatches are above. (left to right)
The first 4 are all metallic shades_
Metallica ( white Metallic)
Iron Maiden ( Golden)
Led Zepplin ( Olive Green Metallic)
Alice Cooper (Brown w/Mauve undertone Metallic)
I really love these pigmented metallic shades, they are rich in color, and apply so creamy, I also like that they are grouped as heavy metal rock bands, all of whom I’ve listened to a billion times, these shades apply really nice with/out primer, there is a ton of fall out, but what eyeshadow doesn’t.
The MID – 4 Matte
Adagio ( very light brown w/white undertone)
Allegro (Taupe Brown)
Moderato ( Deep matte Purple)
Presto (Deep Brown)
So these 4 are all matte shades based on classical music, which is really great. I love the shades, they are very wearable warm tone shades. I like the deep purple that is in the mix. I think the shades are really pretty, the only thing is that these are best with a primer, otherwise they show up super light, barely visible with exception of the deep purple. Overall the classical shades are really nice, and nice range of shades for the palette.
The last 4 – Shimmer shades
Blink 182 ( Nude Brown w/ pink undertone )
The Stroke ( Navy Blue)
Rem ( Lilac Purple)
Third Eye Blinded ( A fair Pink shimmer)
The last 4 are all shimmer shades, these shades are grouped based off popular rock bands. These shades have to be my favorite, they are super pigmented, and out of all the shades these 4 didn’t have as much fall out as the rest. These shades look really pretty with/without primer. The shimmer shades do have a ton of glitter, but I really like the shimmer on my eyes.
Overall the eye shades look really nice, the application of these shades all have a nice creamy consistency, I have to say the metallic shades have to be my favorite, they show up better on my eyes and the color range is wearable day or night.
Next is the Smoke Balm palette, this palette is a great palette for any day, they only contain 3 shades a shimmer black, a warm neutral shade, and a highlight shade. I really like the shades in this palette, the shades are not crazy shades, they are warm tone colors, which I appreciate.
The shades are:
Blaze ( shimmer Black)
Spark ( Matte taupe brown)
Flame ( highlight)
I really like this palette, Blaze and spark are my favorite, they are super pigmented and have a very rich consistency. The shades start off light, so they are buildable, the highlight shade is a little to light for my skin tone, it almost look chalky, but swatch wise its very beautiful, it looks like Ice, its kind of comparable to the champagne pop glow palette.
Here are the swatches of the smoke balm palette.
Well that’s all for my review on the balm jovi and smoke balm palette. Be sure to “LIKE” this post, and tell me if you tried either palette? Do you like THE BALM COSMETICS? If so, whats your favorite product of the brand? Tell me in the comments below.
PR samples courtesy of Diety America, all opinions are my own.
Hair Problems, something everyone goes through whether its heat damage, to thin, or just flat I haven’t came across a girl whos’ hair was just perfect, unless you’re Sofia Vergara.
It wasn’t until 3 months ago that I heard of Diety America, if you don’t know who they are here’s a little insight.Diety America is a hair brand that helps with healthy; natural regrowth. All of the products are based from Tibet, and Chinese herbal extracts, also carrying ginseng, wheat, protein, and Avocado. This brand couldn’t have contacted me at a better time, especially since my hair was in the process of breaking off. Through contacts they wanted me to review for them, and it didn’t take long to say yes.
What they sent were 2 leave in conditioners, Plant shampoo, a heat protectant, as well as, a serum dropper and a scalp treatment.
I tried this entire collection in the course of 3 months, in moderation of course. Now that I’m done rambling, let’s talk about the products.
The Super Gro Serum Nutmeg + Serum Gro scalp Treatment
I use these every night just to keep my scalp from being dry, because my hair soaks up moisture. The super grow w/nutmeg is very lightweight on my hair, it has a mentholated feeling when I apply it to my hair. Its made with Asian herbal extract, Chinese ginseng extract, Nutmeg Oil, Argan Oil, and Knotweed, all are ingredients made to grow healthy hair from the root, as well as, protect hair from breakage. With the nutmeg you definitely can smell it in the ingredients and feel a burning sensation as well. The Serum gro scalp treatment is similar to the super gro but without any nutmeg, or menthol. I prefer the super gro with the nutmeg, but both works just the same.
Leave in Hydrating & Repair Scalp Treatment / Deep Penetrating Conditioner
The Hydrating leave in conditioner and the Deep Conditioner were my favorite products to use weekly. The hydrating leave in conditioner is made up of Water, Soy Protein, Ginseng, Shea Butter, Asian & Tibetan herbs, and Knotweed. The hydrating conditioner I liked because it could be used as a styling product or just to condition and wash out. It really is a hydrating conditioner, it is kind of, heavy so you don’t need much. As most conditioners its meant to repair the hair and keep breakage from happening. I used this twice a week and by the end of the week wash it out, because the build up can cause your hair to feel sticky. The Deep Condition , is made of Tibetan Herbs, Aloe Vera, Ginseng, and Avocado, all ingredients that promotes healthy hair growth, and stops breakage. The deep condition acted like a hair mask, when you apply all over the hair it hardens and you leave it on for about 15 min, then wash it out. I think both of these combinations helped my hair the most, because I did use these as my holy grail products. If you’re trying to grow your hair, these are my recommended products, because these duos have a combination of hair growth ingredients, and you can use it weekly if not daily.
The Plant Shampoo
I really like using the plant shampoo, made of the same as the leave in hydrating leave in conditioner, the plant shampoo is an all organics shampoo that helps repair hair. I used the shampoo and the consistency is very thick, it smells like grass, yeah that’s how natural it is. It really did help my hair to stop breakage. I used this every 2 weeks and within the first months usage, I could see a difference. I really do like the way it lathers my hair and that its not filled with alcohol and parabens, which are both harmful to your hair.
Repairing Essence Daily Moisturizer lotion
I normally do not like lotions in my hair mainly because, lotions tends to make my hair sticky and stiff, The daily moisturizer changed my entire opinion about certain lotions. This daily moisturizer contains Amino Acids, Vitamin C5, Ironic Protein, and Collagen. This is a daily lotion, which you can use daily, but I only used it when I used the deep conditioner, to keep my hair hydrated and shiny. This lotion works really well, its not like any lotion I ever tried, its light weight, the consistency in my hair is nice, it doesn’t weigh my hair down at all.
As for the entire Diety America collection, I really liked the natural quality of the products, I have used tons of “natural” products but these products takes the cake. I think that as far as the ingredients, being free of sulfates, and parabens are always great. the shampoos’ and conditioners works well together. I highly recommend this brand to people who liiivvvee for organic and Au’ natural products.
I hope you enjoyed my review, be sure to “LIke” this post, and “comment” if you love organic products like the collection in the post. Be sure to check out Diety America
