Urban Decay VICE lipstick

Urbandecay

HI Loves,

So it’s no secret that Urban Decay is a HUGE brand, not only that, their VICE lipstick collection has me hooked. The collection varies in mattes, creamy, and satin shades, that has over 100 shades varying from nude to the most vibrant Blue.

When shopping at Ulta I literally get overwhelmed by how many shades are on the shelf, and by the end of the day my arm looks like a piece of art. Recently, I brought 4 shades to add to the collection, and I’m here to share this moment with you guys.

I brought the shades Heroine, Moshpit, Spiderweb, and Back talk, all the shades are different finishes.

  • Heroine/ Blue ( Comfortable Matte)
  • Moshpit / Deep Berry tone ( Cream)
  • Spiderweb/ Satin Red ( Cream)
  • Back Talk / Mauv-y Nudew/ pink undertone ( Comfort matte)

The packaging itself is gorgeous, it makes you excited for the shade inside. The lipstick comes in a gold, and silver gunmetal type packaging, and being that Ruby Rose is the spokesmodel for the brand, I can see the correlation. I love how the lipstick almost looks like a bullet, and how the shape of the lipstick tip is angled in a way that can be applied to the lips comfortably.

When it comes to the formulas of the lipsticks, I find them all to be easy application, I think when people think MATTE, they think “tug n pull” but the mattes in the collection are very smooth when applying and doesn’t take many layers to see pigmentation. The Creamy shades are my favorite, only because it feels like a gloss, almost comparable to the TOO FACED melted lipsticks, these shades are also buildable which is good for transitioning from day to night.

I hope you enjoyed my review, on the URBAN DECAY VICE lipsticks, if you like reviews like this be sure to “LIKE” this post and “comment” if you’ve tried this collection. If so what’s your favorite shade?

Jan Marini’s Hyla3D | Spring Renewal

hyla4

Hi Loves,

Skin can be a sensitive subject, for me personally. I have stage 2 eczema as well as highly sensitive skin, So summer time activities does not start until I have every skin care product to protect me from the wonders of the HOT sun, and summer heat.

Jan Marini Skin Research is one of the most respected brands in professional skin care. JMSR has formed associations with some of the world’s leading physicians and research scientists to develop cutting edge solutions to today’s most common skin concerns. JMSR has introduced a host of technological firsts, has been awarded numerous patents and has published multiple independent peer-reviewed studies on it’s products.

When I got the chance to try Jan Marini skincare skn renewal, I was a tad on the fence, because wrinkles have never been a huge problem for me, but the benefits of the Hyla3D goes beyind wrinkles. Hyla 3D contains (HA) Hyaluronic Acid, which is an ingredient that addresses skin problems such as; Hydration, increasing collagen and restores youth. Great benefits AMIRIGHT!!

I added this product to my skincare routine for a month and a half, and found that this product works really well.

hyla3

The Hyla3D has a very liquid formula that is not at all thick and blends really well into the skin. After washing my face, and using my skin oils, I use this product last, and it feels so nice on the skin. Because the product absorbs in the skin, it feels moisturizing on the skin and as it dries it feels almost matte, but not drying on the skin, what I like most is the consistency in the product, it doesn’t leave behind any residue like some products that can get really filmy.

When they say a little goes a long way, their not kidding, it only takes one pump and it spreads evenly on the skin, so you can’t possibly miss a spot.

Hyla 11

So final Results:

The product works well, it does take at least a month to start seeing results, but you can feel a difference in skin texture after using this product. My skin feels extremely hydrated, if you don’t have time for the whole “skin routine’ you can just wipe your face and use this product alone. I think its good to try it with your skin routine, and by itself, to see which works best for you, this is just my opinion, because not all skin textures are the same.

I hope you enjoyed this post, have you tried Jan Marini’s Hyla3D skin renewal? How did it work for you? Let me know in the comments, feel free to let me know your experience- Be sure to “LIKE” this post.

Feel free to visit Jan Marini, for more info on the product.

Summer Makeup Collab

makeup_20160911213317_save1

HI Loves,

So Madi (MaditheMermaid) organized a little summer collab on creating a summer look, with a pop of color. This was a very fun collaboration among some of my favorite bloggers.

So when I start my makeup I usually start with my eyes and work my way around.

EYEBROWS: I use the L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer | shade- Dark Brunette (after getting my brows even I conceal them with the NYX dark circle concealer).

EYES: After concealing my brows I drag the remaining concealer down until it covers my entire lid. Then I use my Maybelline Nude Palette. I used the Luminous Feline by L’Oreal for my lashes

I use a piece of scotch tape to stay within the line, I then start my crease line. The 4 shades within the heart I mixed to create the shade in my crease, then you just build as much as you want, DON’T FORGET TO BLEND!

The eyeliner I use is the L’Oreal Infallible in the shade| Jet Black

FACE: After creating my eyes then we can move to Foundation.

Foundation– Chanel Ultra wear Flawless Foundation in Shade | 30 Beige ( I got this as a sample in my new issue of Glamour and had to try it, I recommend this, you don’t need much, its so smooth on the skin and the application is very nice). To lock in my foundation I used the Studio Gear Dual Identity Mineral powder

CONTOUR: I used the Rimmel London Kate Contour kit.

LIPS: I used 2 of the NYX soft matte shades.

HIGHLIGHT: I used the balm Mary Lou Manizer highlight over top of the NYX  born to glow liquid highlight. (Imagine the HIghlight)

Hi Lovelies,

June flew by so fast, that I almost forgot it was July. I’ve been trying tons and tons of beauty products that works for me, especially during the summertime. Here are a few favorites that I recently been trying out. ENJOY!!

Thebalm MaryLou Manizer shimmer highlight palette. This palette has to be my top favorite as a highlighting product. I have seen this all over social media, and had to try this product. The shimmer palette is great when it comes to formula, and texture. I think that its a very buildable product, so the more you pack on the brighter you’ll shine. I found that this product was also a really great price, for how much product you get. Overall great product, I really like this palette so much, and recommend it. Catrice Cosmetics Colour correcting Primer- I never used color correcting primer when doing my makeup, so I wanted to see what’s the difference. The first day I used it, I could see a huge difference, before putting on just foundation and concealer. I like the Catrice Color correcting primer, it works almost like the Studio Gear Cosmetics primer. The primer blends out nicely, and it is really smoothe against the skin, kind of, like a moisturizer. I think I’ll use this more often. This is a great product and a great price. Ardell Lashes in Natural 117– I have always been afraid to wear lashes but when you do makeup, it adds drama to the whole attire. I love the ardell lashes, I like that their natural and easy to apply. The ardell lashes range in from natural to extreme glamour. If you’re just now starting to wear lashes, these are a great start off, just to test them out. Overall I really like them, they are light, and not drag queen heavy, LOL. I have been wanting to try an actual contour kit, instead of just blush powders in darker tones. The Rimmel London Contour palette is amazing. I am not a fan of Dramatic makeup unless I’m doing it for a blog post, the Rimmel contour kit really is a great product, the highlight, blush, and contour colors are very pigmented, as well as, buildable. I really love the palette it’s not so powder-y, it has a creamy texture and doesn’t make my face oily, which is great, because the summer does that already. I brought an eyeshadow palette by La Colors, and fell in Love. I purchased the matte palettes by La Colors in the Nudes, and absolutely love it. I am very attracted to working the whole “Golden Goddess” Look during the summer, mainly because it super easy, and I like the shades against my skin. The shades range from light to a brown w/ black undertone. The palette is great, and is highly pigmented, which is great for the price I brought it for. Lastly I got the NYX soft matte shade Amsterdam. I can’t tell you how many red shades I have in my makeup collection, there are so many shades of reds created by different beauty brands, I just have to get the perfect shade for the season. I love this lipgloss, it is kind of streaky, but the application is very moisturizing, as for the matte finish, dont look for it to dry matte, it has almost a matte finish with a smooth shine to it. I really like this color, and look to wear it alot.

I hope you enjoyed the post, Be sure to check out Beautyspin, they are a great site for beauty brands and better prices. I’m thinking about doing a Beauty Look, with the products mentioned in my next post, would you like to see that, let me know in the comments, also “Like” this post.
